Multi-Dimensional Warrior is an album misleading to Santana fans of whom think this album is a greatest hits collection. (Ultimate Santana is the place to go.) This album is here to guide Santana fans to a place forgotten. Most so called Santana fans know only of Santana's original 3 Albums & Supernatural Never realizing the balanced geometry of his overall palette. Multi-Dimensional Warrior covers the rest.

On disc one; Carlos reminds us of his spiritual side, the soulful side of Santana. Those looking for Santana's rock roots need to look elsewhere, this is Santana searching for his spiritual soulful side.

On disc two; look for Santana to jam, slow guitar based Jams which accentuate his strengths.

Again do not look for Santana's Greatest hits. This album consists of Santana's strengths, his ability to uplift. To inspire! so kick back and enjoy this music with a glass of your drink of choice

Great double cd...it's refeshing and chill. There are other discs you can get that are more jammy and rockin, but this rocks in it's own beautiful way. It's great Sunday afternoon music with the 1st disc having a vocal emphasia and 2nd having an instrumental emphasis all handpicked by the man himself. Well-done!

The flow and mood changes of these two disks are excellent. Of course this is a focused look at Carlos's more spiritually minded works, which I have always loved, and as such it hits the mark dead center. It is impossible to listen to this album and not feel better for it. Thanks for another great listen, my friend.

I really think this is Carlos Santana's best work. You can't expect a musician
to play the same style all the time. He has to evolve and change as we all do as
human beings. If some fans don't get it, well maybe it's too late for them and they
never will. You have to listen to this music with a clear mind. Not stoned or half-way drunk.

How is it that some artist transend time and continue to please their audiences. I never get tired of hearing Carlos play and this CD has a hidden treasure- a CD of Carlos playing- just playing from the soul- no singing. I play that almost every day , for it calms me. He is a warrior of the music scene. I give him my deepest respect. Carlos , I bow to you.

About a month ago, I bought the album, I really enjoy it, and I can't stop listen the second disc, is a very interesting thing that we have two albums, the first, with a lot of nice songs, not necesary greatest hits, but really good Santanas songs, the compilation was great, the latin sound with the rock and roll touch is excellent; the second album, I have to admit that I'm in love with it, all the album is excellent, the selection of songs as the same as the first album is supreme, you really fell the magic and art of Santana; Multi-Dimesional Warrior, is one of the best albums that I hear, and pay attention, IS NOT A GREATEST HIT ALBUM, but I have to say that this album is already a legend

WOW!SANTANA IS AWESOME!please don't hesitate to buy this CD right now at Amazon....I can't quit listening to it.....I've ordered several copies for my friends who just won't spend $15 for anything good so I want to be the source of their complete amazement at how Santana has evolved to a timeless pillar of incredible world musicality.I want to share this fantastic CD with everyone on the planet as it will move them to places & "FEEL GOOD ALL OVER" zones they have yet to experience.I have "NEVER" purchased a CD that has absolutely "NO" just so-so tunes....."EVERY" tune is different, yet better than the last one...can you say that about any other CD? NO, you cannot.
This is the strongest 2 CD set I presently own and I have over 1000 Cd's in my collection.

I am a latin-styled percussionist, and a long time fan of Santana - I folow and know all of his music. The only thing I can say to possibly, dispute what some have said is, that I guess people look for different things in musical content, which is balanced against their expectations, before they hear the first note.

The second CD is one Carlos provides, that does include some of his best instrumentals previously, recorded. So, don't expect much new there simply, great Santana music. The first CD sounds as if they are new productions, and they do sound similar to Carlos Santana's work from the 80's, with Alex Ligertwood (??) singing. Maybe, some are looking for something that's so new, that it doesn't sound like the artist you know, or isn't typical of his style. What can I tell you? You gotta' expect this as no surprise coming from Santana. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am a huge Santana fan, dating all the way back to the 1970s, but this compilation totally misses the boat. Sure, there are a couple of decent songs on Multi-Dimensional Warrior (mostly on the instrumental disc 2), but it's like Sony went out of its way to put together a two-disc set of Santana's most bland tunes. Maybe they were trying to increase airtime on Lite Rock radio or something.

For those of you who have never heard vintage Santana at all, just check out the song samples from Santana (I)--the one with the lion head cover--here on Amazon, or listen to "Soul Sacrifice" from the original Woodstock soundtrack, then come back and listen to the samples from Multi-Dimensional Warrior. You'll wonder what the heck Sony was thinking with this release.

For full immersion in Santana's classic era rock, pick up all of Carlos and the band's first three discs: Santana (I), Abraxas, and Santana (III). For a taste of Carlos' jazzy side, get Caravanserai. For his spiritual side, Welcome is a nice entry. And for the best of his modern era stuff, Supernatural is the one to get.

In any case, do yourself a favor and skip this weak compilation.

I am a huge Santana fan & have been for at least 25 years. I own several other Santana "Best of" & compilation collections, but this one is going to end up being my favorite. The master picked these songs himself which makes this collection that much more interesting. These are Santana songs I have always loved, but had forgotten about during "Supernatural" & "Shaman" years. I offer a huge thanks to Carlos for highlighting songs that true Santana fans may have forgotten about, & letting younger fans who only know Santana's music from the "Supernatural" years and later, get a broader glimpse of a true musical genius & American music, but not just American, a World music icon.
