Our Green-Cheek Conure loves this hut! It is warm and plush. Our Happy Hut usually lasts a year or two if we cover the hanger straps so that they can't be chewed through. We found that cutting an old hair band is perfect because it is a hollow tube of cloth that can just slip over the hanger before it is attached.

This is the perfect getaway for your bird. It's a safe, private hidaway free from drafts.

I have about 250 Lovebirds and they all LOVE their Happy Huts. The problem is the huts have loose threads that appear, even the new ones. I had one bird die of strangulation, a thread wrapped around his neck and he was hanging. I can not get that horrible moment out of my mind. I had two birds who lost a leg and toes and many near tragedies. I put them all in the trash. About $1,000.00 worth of Happy Huts. Believe me they are not Happy! We brought our baby Quaker, Petri home at 10 weeks, and knowing they build condo type nests with rooms, wondered if he would like something like this, and with it being winter thought this would also give him some extra insulation. I bought it, and he climbed right in it his first night and sleeps in it every single night. I highly recommend this for Quakers. It isn't hard to clean, just remove from the cage, use gloves or a paper towel to take off the debri inside, then use a damp sponge to rub off remaining debri and air dry. You bird will be so happy, not to mention a little more tolerable of your hands in the cage because you're not invading his bedroom.

I bought one of these at petsmat for my jenday conure, and he loves it he play pickaboo every morning when i uncover his cage. I would recemend this for cockateils, lovebirds, and conures. dont trust any other one like it this is the cuddliest one ever it provides the most confort for any parrot that fits inside. Buy one your parrot will thank you for it.

We ordered the happy hut to replace an old one that has seen its day. Our bird loves to play peek-a-boo and this is a great place she can hide. The product took longer then expected to arrive but customer support was excellent.

I had been told that conures just loved this thing, so I bought one for my Sun Conure and she did indeed love it. That is until today when we found her hanging from it by a thread wrapped around her neck. She was so scared and was wildly flapping her wings. My husband managed to cut the thread and set her free before any damage was done to her, but I would not ever put one back in her cage again.

My birds won't go anywhere near these. They are perch sleepers. Make sure your birds like to go inside of things before buying these. I've wasted so much money buying them stuff that they don't use. They don't even play with their toys. The prefer to play with trash like junk mail paper and paper towel rolls.

It's good if you want to give your bird something else to poop on, otherwise it served no purpose.... ;)
