They are very durable and the colors are attractive to the girls.

It would be great flooring for a kids play room if you have tile or wood floors.

They are also very easy to clean with a broom and / or a damp mop.

These are great multifunctional mats but are overpriced here. Identical package of 8 w/ border pieces by same manufacture at your local Sam's Club for $20.33 plus tax.

We bought several packs of these when my girls were old enought to start having tummy time. These are cheaper at Sams Club, thats where we got ours.

The color tile part is textured, non-slip and easy to clean. I use Clorox Spray anywhere, just spray it on 1 foam tile at a time and wipe dry with a paper towel. It doesn't absorb moisture which is great.

The color side is not as soft as the solid black side but my girls have fallen and banged their heads on it many times when they were first learning to crawl and they never had any problems. If you think its too hard for your baby you can either use the black side or use a blanket.

My parents bought some of the foam tiles that have the removable letters in them several years ago, these are WAY better. The letters DO get lost and also wear out easily, plus it is a huge pain in the butt to have to put all the letters back in when you need to have the solid tiles. The tiles have lots of wear as well. My best friend has some solid square tiles similar to mine but they feel cheaper and have several gouges in them(bought same time as we bought these), plus the tiles don't seem to fit perfectly together. My tiles connect together perfectly, there are no gaps what so ever!! My best friend & parents both like our mats better and wish they had these instead...these would make a great baby shower gift, especially if someone has bare floors.

We've got laminate flooring in our livingroom and put together 6 pieces to place our girls Jumperoos on. Not only do these protect the floors, they keep my girls from sliding all over(they go crazy in those things) and it also keeps their feet warmer from the bare floor.

I don't have any issues with mat other than strong funky smell. I tried to air it for a week, wash with soap and with boiling water. Nothing helped. I am sure smell is not toxic, only somehow whole room started smell like that and I don't like it. I guess it problem with every mat but I still very upset.
As far as size goes - one mat contain 8 squires (2 red, 2 yellow, 2 blue, 2 green). So, as appears from one customer image, 4 sets were put together

(my photo is the first customer image) The title describes all aspects. It's a fabulous easy way to create a safe and educational (colors) flooring for your child's play area. Because of it's diamond ribbed surface the child can get traction. My son is currently 6.5mo old, and he sits and stands perfectly on these tiles. He lies on the tiles as well, but it is too hard for tummy time. Also, my son is used to softer surfaces - crib mattress, our bed mattress... What I do is spread a blanket or comforter for him to squirm around on. It's a matter of him getting used to it. It would be perfect on a carpeted surface - probably softer. Also, it should be very easy to maintain. One of the things I really like about it is that I will be able to see any dirt, or tiny bugs , therefore easy to eliminate. Read hygiene and safety! All in all - GREAT buy for the money compared to buying an equal size child rug.

I am deeply disturbed after reading a recent article in my local paper here in NYC about how toxic EVA Foam Mats have been found to be. Just as one of the previous reviewers states, The STate of California has found them to be toxic to the reproductive system and the body in general...now other States are following their lead. Our local congress woman is insisting that these be banned. Now I am stuck with these VERY EXPENSIVE Mats and unfortunately do not have the boxes anymore or I would insist that the company take them back and refund me. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. AS a mother to a three year old I have no choice but to throw them out.

Buy with caution!

This product has this warning: California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels. We care about our customers' safety and hope that the information below helps with your buying decisions.

The general Proposition 65 notice is as follows:

WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Why would you buy these for children? When I realized it had this warning I returned it unopened. The company only refunded part of my money when I brought it to their attention.

These mats are the best--I hate those kid mats that have the removable letters, what a pain to haveto put all that together after it has been taken apart....These mats are colorful and soft and have no extra pieces to put together!
