5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing gun, but only for big people.
ok.. i just recived this gun a week ago from amazon. I have been testing out the gun in my back yard, but have not used it in a real game yet. Now this gun is beast... but there are some faults. the gun is a heavy 4.5 pounds and after an hour of game time it feels like 20. The gun also takes a substantial amount of force to pump. I'd say that if your not over 14..then you...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing gun, but only for big people., March 12, 2008
ok.. i just recived this gun a week ago from amazon. I have been testing out the gun in my back yard, but have not used it in a real game yet. Now this gun is beast... but there are some faults. the gun is a heavy 4.5 pounds and after an hour of game time it feels like 20. The gun also takes a substantial amount of force to pump. I'd say that if your not over 14..then you will have trouble cocking the gun over and over. I am a strong kid and I still have trouble pumping it, but that just goes to show the sheer power of the gun. The gun uses shells as magazines and this is a nice touch. The shells are exact plastic replicas of real m3 shells and although it might take more time to reload, it is worth it. The great thing about this shotgun is simple: it IS A SHOTGUN. It does not just look like one. It actually shoots 3 bbs at a time. The spread of these bbs is not too wide and not too close either. You should be able to get a head shot from 50-60 feet away. The gun shoots a powerful 330 fps. So here are the pros and cons of the gun
pros: the gun shoots 330 fps
the gun fires 3 bbs at a time
it is not a huge gun but is deffinitly not small.
the spread of the bbs is just right
extremely good quality and very good materials
amazing sturdy feel

cons: the gun is a hefty 4.5 pounds and that is heavy.
the pump action of the gun is dificult
shells are nice but they take a long time to relaod.
range of the gun is not amazing, but stll good.
there are no rails so there isnt a place to mount anything

so over all i recomend this gun to strong individuals and to use in close quater combat. It is a great gun and the only draw back is the pump.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CQC gun for the price..., May 9, 2008

I am comparing this gun to the full-size Tokyo Marui M3 Super 90, which I had a few years ago but it broke and I sold it for parts.

My first impression of this gun was that it's made of 90% plastic, and felt sort of cheap, but it is solid. The metal parts I could find on the outside were the sling mounts, trigger, and a small portion of the "magazine tube" underneath the barrel near the muzzle. I guess it helps reinforce the gun, as it feels pretty solid. From what I remember the Marui gun had a metal outer barrel, metal outer receiver cover, the locking collar at the front of the forend, magazine tube, and the attachment between the magazine tube and barrel. The gun has an even matte-black finish, and the forend and pistol grip are rubberized and have a dark graphite gray color. The barrel is considerably shorter than the Marui gun, so it's actually really handy, even with the full stock. The inner barrel is I believe the same length as the original Marui one.

Performance: Shooting at the cardboard box it was shipped in from about 15 feet (which is about 4" deep from the dimension I was shooting at), .12g BBs broke through the front side (a few got stuck and did not penetrate) and .20g BBs consistently penetrated both sides of the box. It's really not good past 30', but up until there the BB's stay pretty tightly grouped, enough to hit a person (or their arm or leg). Once the BBs hit 30' they spread considerably and drop to the ground (with .20g BBs, I'm sure .12s would make it that far but would feel like raindrops). The pump action is not difficult for me, but I shoot regular guns frequently and am used to stiff recoil springs, and I work out regularly. My friends had a little bit of a hard time cocking it the first couple times, but once you get used to it it's no big deal. One really good feature is this gun is that you can slam-fire it, which means you hold the trigger down and it fires every time the forend is returned to the forward position. This is actually a pretty effective way of firing, as your arm is extended and on target when it fires. I was able to get all 10 shots off in about 3 seconds or less.

Extra features I liked: This gun is pretty lightweight. Not light enough to be cheap, but it could easily be slung across my back all day as a secondary gun. When you open the shell loading door, usually the "shell" magazine will drop freely if you hold the release lever back. This allows for quick reloads, as you only need to stick the new shell in partway and close the door to reload it. I have several Marui shells from the one I had before, and they all seem to work 100% ok in this gun. Also, the cheap "quality sling" is decent. It will work for keeping it slung across your back. It's actually really long so it will work if you wear a lot of gear or have a big body.

Overall this thing is worth the money. The only reason to get the Marui version is if you have extra money to blow and want a more realistic looking gun, or just can't bear to own Chinese products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow., June 23, 2008
What I like: Uh...3 shots? I was hiding in a corner and my friend sticks his gun through a door; he now has a triangle on his hand. The spread is pretty awesome, and the distance is just about the same as my R74 pulse. The loading mechanism is cool with 'real' shotgun shells.

What i don't like: Loading can take a while, and in super CQBs the gun isn't as efficient as my R74; speed beats out spread indoors. However, you have a much better chance of hitting someone in the woods or in a field with this than with a SMG. The cocking mechanism isn't for sissies either.

Things you should know: Slam fire works with this gun. GET THE EXTRA SHELLS. You have 10 shots per shell (3 bbs per shot=30 bbs per shell of course) and you only get 2 shells (20 shots). With the extra shells you get a combined 80 shots. If you need more than 80 shots to win, your probably better off with a hi cap machine gun. This is a tactically fun gun, not a blow-you-to-mars gun.

Summary: Good gun, lots of strategic elements to it and best used for medium range out in relatively open spaces. I am totally satisfied with what i paid for.

The UTG multishot shotgun is well built and good looking for its price point. It does everything that it advertised. The only negatives are that it sometimes shoots more than three bbs per shot and reducing velocity to the point that they will only travel 10-15 feet.
The fit and finish are better than most low cost airsoft guns on the market. After tightening a few screws my gun has had over 2000 bb's through it and it is still working fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, nice airsoft shotgun!, September 28, 2009

I read reviews of this shotgun and really believed that it was a quality gun. I was not disappointed when I received it and felt the quality of the plastic and the weight of the gun. I've used it many times and it has been GREAT!!! I have to agree with others that the cocking mechanism is stiff so younger or smaller kids would not be able to chamber a round. This is not a bad thing since it can act as a preventative measure to keep those that are too young/small from using this very powerful airsoft. The one complaint I've had so far is the smell of the rubberized parts including the butt stock. It's not horrible but it is something I don't like smelling. This is an awesome airsoft shotgun but shop around for the price. [...] I love this shotgun!!!

Multi-Shot Combat Tactical Shotgun airsoft gun
I'm new to airsoft and I have found that a lot of products do not function or perform as represented. Not so this gun which has met all reasonable expectations. At first it seemed inconsistent with respect to feeding and firing three BB's every time. As I have used it more this problem has become less frequent. To be fair there may be some operator error involved. In general this gun performs as described by the vendor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gun, July 31, 2008

incredibly good gun, strong shots, with relatively tight groupings under 50 feet, slight expect 2 inches of drop every ten feet after 30 feet (e.g., aim 6 inches over target if it is about 60 feet away) great shell feature, it is designed for rightys ( i am a lefty) but i can deal with it, i definitely suggest getting the 6 extra shells. It comes in a carboard box, with styrofoam carved insets for: Shotgun, Speed loader (makes loading EASY), sling (i dont use it, the gun is uncomfortable on your back with the pistol grip), and two (red & blk) shells (like description says, 30 bbs per shell ten shots). It is great to have a stock and iron sights, and it is certainly comparable with the 200 dollar TM Spas, except you can buy three of these including shipping for the same price...but Spas does shoot faster and is more reliable as more of it is metal and it provides a more realistic look and feel and blah blah blah.great gun, good for eny level airsofter

5.0 out of 5 stars great shotgun, July 20, 2009
This review is from: Multi-Shot Combat Tactical Shotgun airsoft gun (Sports)
It was better than expected and performs as stated. has almost no hop up even with .12 gram bbs. and actually shoots 3 shots consistently. Dont buy no polished bbs because they will jam up. i buy .20 gram aftermath bbs at my local fred meyer for fairly cheap about 7 dollars for 2000. Still works after 1 month of use (i expect it to work for much longer.)comments are welcome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter gun, May 31, 2011
This review is from: Multi-Shot Combat Tactical Shotgun airsoft gun (Sports)
As a once starting air softer this gun was almost everything I needed to go cqb. It is extremely reliable, durable, and feels great in the hands. I actually got mine off ASGI but same replica anyhow. It feels amazing in your hands and the pistol grip and pump are rubberized which provides comfort and traction. the shells average 10 shots (each hold 30 rounds) and you'll need a speed loader to load them. The only problems i see with this gun is that the sights may be slightly difficult to use on larger masks and the included sling is not so great. If you want a primary for cqb or a trusty secondary, get this gun!
