Raised in Minnesota, Carl grew up with a keen interest in entrepreneurship. He started his first business at the tender age of 10. What began as an endearing goal of making money from selling lemonade became a springboard for him to pursue more business dreams and interests. At age 18, he established his first firm and launched a website that educated people about highly profitable investment ideas and strategies. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in business administration, he took his business dreams even further and put up a multi-state company.

What drew me to this book was the list of the top multi-level marketing companies found in the second chapter of the book. Most of the names sounded familiar and excited that I was, I decided to join three of those companies: Mary Kay, Avon and Amway. I was particularly fond of health and beauty so it’s no surprise why I chose those three companies. Whenever someone asks me what I do for a living, I tell them I’m a multi-level marketer at three companies. They always have the same shocked look on their faces when they find out I work for three companies. I just explain to them how multi-marketing works and they immediately understand how I’m able to make this kind of set-up work.

If you’re interested in multi-marketing but have difficulties deciding which company to join, I highly recommend this book. It offers a very comprehensive list of companies along with the profits earned in the year 2012. Not only that, the book also offers valuable advice to those who are just starting out in this industry. If you can’t choose among the companies named, you can always opt for a different multi-level marketing company. In the book, you’ll learn a few tips on how to choose the right company. One of the advices is that you should choose a company that has been around long enough to have itself established in the industry. You want to make sure you’re investing your money in a company that has a strong foundation. If you want more tips, I suggest you get a copy of this book.

Before I read this, I didn't know what Multi-level Marketing was. Scratch that; I knew what it was, the basics at least, but I didn't know what it was called. Now that I do, and now that I know more about it, I find it to be much more legitimate. I don't plan to join a MLM business at this time, but the information was still somewhat relevant to me. I hope to open a business of my own in the next few years, and some of the information in this book would still work for it, even though it will not be a MLM business. Overall, I found this book to be helpful, well written, and informative.

I have been in the MLM business for two years already I have to admit, I sometimes still have trouble talking to people. I particularly like talking to large groups but when it's one on one, I get nervous. I guess that's just the introvert in me. I was planning to introduce our marketing strategy to my friend when I suddenly lost the words to explain to her how it worked. She was skeptical on the first meeting and I was thankful she even agreed to a second meeting with me.

This time, I came prepared. I showed her this book and was with her throughout the whole time she was reading it just in case she had questions. I was so thankful I referred her to this book because it's what convinced her to join our MLM company. Now she's a regular at the store and whenever we have new prospects, she just lends them this book and they come back convinced to join our company.

I believe what makes this book special is that it's short but comprehensive. It's a very quick read and it offers practical advice to those who are just starting out in the MLM business. Need help looking for an MLM company? How do you become an effective sales agent? Do you have trouble talking to people? Answers to those kinds of concerns are all answered in the book.

If you're just starting out, I suggest you get a copy of this book. You might just be convinced to join the MLM industry the same way my friend was.

I can always recognize a skeptical face when I see one. Blame that on the years of experience I've had introducing my company's business plan to prospects. The book The Beginner's Guide to Starting Out With Multi-Level Marketing taught me to respond properly to misconceptions surrounding multi-level marketing. A prospect would say "I don't want to be involved in a pyramid scam." or "That's just a get rich scheme." I understand why they bring up those kinds of concerns as I myself have also been part of the skeptic crowd when I was just starting out. I feel glad whenever a prospect brings up these kinds of concerns because it gives me the chance to clarify things. It also gives me a sense of pride being able to defend my company from those kinds of misconceptions.
If you're interested about multi-level marketing but have doubts about it, I highly recommend that you read this book. I assure you that after reading it, you will have a renewed perspective on this business strategy. You might even be convinced to start your own multi-level marketing business when you find out that some of the biggest companies like Avon, Herbalife and Mary Kay actually use the multi-level marketing strategy in running their business.
There's a list of top multi-level marketing companies included in the book and you can join any of them depending on your preference. When you start having prospects, you're going to need this book to help debunk those myths about MLM.

A few years ago my friend Shiela introduced me to a multi-level marketing company. I wasn’t convinced. I told her being around people wasn’t really my thing and that I preferred working alone. As a freelance designer, I needed all the peace and quiet that I could get. It was only when I ran out of clients did it occur to me how important networking was. So there I was cramming to look for people who wanted to get my services. Then I suddenly remembered Shiela and the fact that she knows so many people. I called her and I was so relieved when she sounded excited to talk to me. Even when I rejected her offer at a business, she was still kind enough to help me with my dilemma.
She then recommended me this book. It wasn’t what I had expected but it was exactly what I needed to help me expand my network and convince me to join the multi-level marketing industry. I couldn’t stop reading the book from start to end. I have to admit that at first I was scared at the prospect of meeting many people. But I knew I had to so I can gain clients and become financially independent as a multi-level marketer. I’m happy to say that the business actually worked for me. Yes, I’m busier than I was before but the great thing is I get to separate my business life from my business life. I can take on projects and work in the comforts of my own home and when I’m done, I just go to the office to meet with prospects and pick up products I need.
So there I was in meetings and product trainings accompanied by Shiela. She has been very supportive and I’m glad she still took me despite my disinterest a few years ago. The lessons I’ve learned in the book made me feel confident running my business. I knew I was in great hands with a company that applied the multi-level marketing strategy.
