highly syncopated, September 22, 2008

This is my favorite Sally Nyolo cd of the three I have. It is more diverse and has a little English and some French in the lyrics, plus reverb, "DJing" and other studio effects. Still her native rhythms (I am not familiar with Cameroun music)I sense are still close to her roots.
There is some really innovative and "multi-cultural" stuff in this cd; some derivative reggae and what is noted above, but still it avoids the commercial "crossover" tag as far as I'm concerned.
