It's cute, but that's about all,

I bought this toy for my dog because it was cute and he likes toys that make noises (we have a frog that croaks, a monkey that squeals, and elephant that roars, etc). First off, the description of a 'talking' parrot is deceptive. When squeezed, it does a generic bird chirp. Also, this parrot is quite small. The biggest problem with this toy though is that it does not hold my dogs attention. He played with for a few minutes when we first gave it to him, but he hasn't touched it again since. That was pricey for a few minutes of fun. If you're dog chases birds or his ears perk up when he hears a chirp, then he'll probably get a lot more out of this toy. Otherwise, skip it and look for the other 'talking' toys.

My Cavachon LOVES it,

When squeezed the parrot says "Polly want a cracker." My puppy loves it. I bought several of these toys, but the parrot is his favorite. We just got it this morning and he won't put it down! He loves hearing it talk to him! I have to keep an eye on him because he keeps taking it outside through his doggie door, and, since there is a sound maker inside, he should not have unsupervised access to it, but he loves it so much, I don't want to take it from him!It seems to be well made and SHOULD stand up well to smaller dogs. My elderly German Shepherd isn't impressed at all, but I don't think it would be a good toy for a big dog anyway. These are NOT big toys. And if you have a large dog that likes to tear out the stuffing in his stuffed toys, this would NOT be a good choice for you.

this toy is ok, but my dog likes the frog, dog, & monkey much better.the parrot isnt really loud enough and it does have enough vocal range to really interest the dog.

Our dog loves these toys, the sound never wears out and the toys are very durable. Our dog has these toys that are 5 years old and they still work.

The toy parrot we received did not chirp as described, but instead says, "Polly want a cracker?". Unfortunately, we bought this for a dog that loves to chase the birds in the yard and we thought having a toy that chirped would be fun. Of course, this is a toy parrot, and saying something like "Polly want a cracker?" would be a more typical thing for a parrot to say. I only wish the description was accurate.

Dog favorite toy,

Finding a stuffed animal that a dog like can be a hit or miss. I can open my own pet store with the toys I've bought my dog, only to see them gather dust. But the parrot has been a huge hit and a favorite of one of my beagles. She can be in a deep sleep but if she hears the chirp of the parrot, she snaps to attention! Finally found something she likes.
