Why not? Nobody is going to force you to play it.

Because resources spent on the multiplayer are resources that could have been spent on more singleplayer.

it's just too bad that developers/publishers aren't willing to put enough effort into both ends to make both as multiplayer and single player as amazing as possible...there should be no need to sacrifice one for the other. Sadly most in the position to be able to make sure that happens don't seem to agree with me.

Yes, because Uncharted 2 and GTA IV are proof that the single player was horrible ever since they added multiplayer. You guys trying to think need to stop, it's just not working.

Nice condescension Mattd, well played.
Point is, good multiplayer is few and far between. Sadly so many developers are horrible at balancing between single player and multiplayer.

I agree with Uncharted 2 but Naughty Dog wasn't working from scratch either. They had the engine, the design, the combat, etc all laid out. They just had to polish it up more. All that stuff takes time and time is $$$$. And before someone says it...Yes Just Cause 2 is a sequel but it was on a older system with a different game engine.
