The Multiplex Easy Star RR (Receiver Ready) was designed for first-time pilots in mind, and offers incredibly stable flight characteristics and durability. One of the design features of the Easy Star is the rear mounted Propeller, which helps limit damage in less perfect landings. A powerful Speed 400 motor is mounted on the top so a hard landing won t break the prop or hurt the motor. The Easy Star flies with little input and has the ability to recover easily. Made from Multiplex s durable Elapor foam, the Easy Star take s a tremendous amount of abuse without breaking. And, if it does break, it is easily repaired with CA (super) glue. Even after many crashes during the learning process, the Easy Star will be ready for more, and is sure to still be around to teach someone else to fly. The RR Easy Star comes with 2 servos, motor, esc, and Propeller included.

This is an excellent beginner radio controlled plane. It's easy to fly (compared to everything else I've tried, Super Cub, Yellow Bee) and fairly durable considering it's made of foam. The fact that the propeller is in the back saves a lot of damage.

You can get different versions of this, from complete ready-to-fly to kits that you can use your own transmitter/receiver, servos, etc. I got the kit version and used my own brushless motor, which was overkill. At full throttle the thing was headed for outer space. So once airborne the motor is now usually at near idle to keep from going up too high.

This is the only plane I've ever successfully hand launched (which is necessary since it has no wheels). That's good since you don't need a smooth takeoff runway. Landings just need relatively clear area.

Overall I'm impressed. The only thing that's somewhat annoying is that you have to use expensive super glue and accelerator to make any repairs on the foam.

I have just started RC flying. So far I have about 4 hours of flying under my belt. This plane was built for beginners. It is stable and easy to fly. It is durable, I haven't really crashed it, but I have had a couple of hard landings. I have seen others crash this same model with little or no damage. I am using this plane to train with until I can move up to more complex planes. I love it.
