I built this as a long-range FPV platform, and fully loaded it probably weighs about 5 pounds. I've had a couple of wrecks due to pilot stupidity, and the thing is super durable. The Elapor foam that it's made from is extremely resilient. Lots of room inside to put stuff in it. Even better, you can spray paint it if you choose the paint carefully (I used Rustoleum), unlike most foam planes!

The hardware included is top notch too, and it goes together very quickly. Overall, worth every penny!

A really amazing design from Multiplex. This is a great plane to make that first move up from a basic trainer RC platform. The size is great, the looks and styling are very handsome, the handling is very solid\predictable, and the ease of upgrade to brushless motors and larger props is amazing. Built this with my 15 yr. old son in a single weekend. He was able to accomplish all of the assembly with the exception of the electronics on his own. Don't know how the base model would perform because we went with an immediate upgrade to brushless motors and larger props. Headsuprc.com was an amzing source of info for the upgrade. Plane flys like a dream and is regularly used as a filming platform with a keychain camera. Design is tolerant of harder landings and is very forgiving. The design also has well planned "failure points" which break in a controllable fashion during crashes which dramatically reduces the damage to the foam components. Immesely happy with this product!
