Like many parents, we bought some flashcards to help our son keep up on his multiplication skills. In terms of appearance these cards are very nice. They're easy to read and use.

Unfortunately, these cards have problems on both sides. Doing it this way allows the manufacturer to pack twice as many problems into a pack of cards, but it also means I can't easily organize the cards based on what he gets right and what he gets wrong, if I want to use them for straight drilling. If you're looking for a comprehensive deck that can be used for drilling, you should probably look elsewhere.

The cards are nice enough quality, but so many cards are missing from the deck they are somewhat useless in helping my children memorize their time tables. What is the point of having flashcards if so many of them are missing from a brand new, never opened deck? Here is a list of the cards that were missing from the brand new, never opened, deck I received: 0x3, 0x6, 0x8, 0x11, 0x12, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 1x11, 2x1, 2x4, 2x7, 2x8, 2x10, 2x12, 3x1, 3x2, 3x11, 3x12, 4x0, 4x3, 4x5, 4x12, 5x0, 5x1, 5x2, 5x3, 5x10, 5x11, 5x12, 6x2, 6x9, 6x10, 7x0, 7x1, 7x11, 7x12, 8x4, 8x5, 8x11, 9x0, 9x1, 9x2, 9x3, 9x11, 10x0, 10x1, 10x3, 10x7, 10x8, 10x9, 11x2, 11x4, 11x6, 11x10, 11x12, 12x1, 12x9, 12x12.

Did not contain all the cards for the times tables 0-12. Each number was missing at least 2 cards.

The cards themselves are sturdy and of good quality. The problem is that it is not a complete set. While 3x4 is the same as 4x3, I think you should have the 2 separate cards to demonstrate this. If children are learning their 4 x tables from these cards they need a 4x3 card. This is absent so one has to substitute the 3x4. There are other sets which include all pairs.

these came super fast with Amazon, literally one day later. Wow. My son loved playing war against his buddy who came over afterschool. Thick and wipeable cards. Should last a long time. Great find for the money.

They are your basic flash cards. My issue with them is that they have 2 different problems on 1 card (1 on each side). This is good that it reduces the overall number of cards, but I would have liked to have a full 144 cards instead of 72.

You're sorting through this deck when you get to the 5s and you realize that it doesn't have a 5x4 card. You look through the deck and realize that others seem to be "missing". That's when you realize the makers thought that having a 4x5 card earlier in the deck took care of it - no need to maybe switch those numbers around in the 5s since, I don't know, a child might encounter 5x4 and not realize it's the same as 4x5 until they are older?

We're using this early with my son (got them when he had just turned 6 because he expressed the ability to do multiplication) and really found that lacking. Maybe we're pushing him, maybe I'm being picky, but having learned a full 12 equations per number up to 12 makes me want 12 cards per number to flash.

Well, they're flash cards. Nothing fancy. But well-made, easy-to-read, and I like that there are two problems per card with the answers on the back. Good price too.
