About the Author

Stanley L. Rowland was in business management for 20 years. He started the first CHE program in 1980 in Africa with Campus Crusade for Christ. In 1990 Stan joined Medical Ambassadors International (MAI), becoming their International Director in 1997. Since then Stan has led over 100 seminars and trained leaders from 400 agencies to implement CHE in 53 countries. He has personally written over 400 of the 600 CHE lesson plans, which trainers use to instruct local people in spiritual, moral, and emotional matters; disease; microenterprise; sanitation; agriculture; and animal husbandry. In addition, he’s mentored key MAI leadership staff to carry the vision of CHE around the world. He also assists other Christian agencies by teaching, encouraging, consulting, and holding accountable those who use CHE.
