Bayer is Now Siemens, Same Urine Test,
By Reckless Consumer (USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Multistix 10 SG is a great, easy, and quick urine test. I find that holding it in the stream of urine for a second works fine. I lay it on some folded toilet paper on the counter - the paper absorbs any extra moisture, so my colors don't bleed together. Some reviewers mentioned expiration dates, but my expiration date is not for more than a year out. An unacceptably short period until expiration would be the fault of the retailer and I've found it's more likely to happen with a "discount" seller. The tests themselves do not have an unusually short shelf life.
The one test stick has ten squares on it that test: Glucose Bilirubin Ketone Specific Gravity Blood pH Protein Urobilinogen Nitrite Leucocytes Just a note, this is the exact product that used to be Bayer brand. Siemens bought the diagnostics division of Bayer, so it's Siemens brand on the label now, but again Siemens Multistix 10 SG are exactly the same as the old Bayer Multistix 10 test strips.

Not Bayer Brand. Got Siemens brand,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I called the company directly to get the expiration date before ordering, which was about 10 months away, which was acceptable. However, I did ask not what brand, since the description states specifically "Multistix Bayer Urine Test Strips 10 SG, 100/box" and the picture is of the Bayer Multistix 10-SG. I assumed it was more expensive than the other companies since it was the true Bayer product. I got the product today and it is the Siemens brand, which I could have ordered about $5-10 cheaper from other companies. The expiration date was what the person said. Just used it and it seems to work fine, but I do not have any other test strip to directly compare to in order to check its accuracy.

A product I have used for many years in practice and now I use it as an individual. Very accurate, reliable and reasonably priced.
