Goodies for theoretical physicists,

This review is from: Multivalued Fields: In Condensed Matter, Electromagnetism, and Gravitation (Paperback)
This is not a book for the mass market but for theoretical and mathematical physicists it is likely to be amusing and rewarding reading. It is necessary to be familiar with field theory and tensor analysis, even if a heroic effort is made to explain things from scratch. Kleinert presents many interesting new ideas in the areas mentioned in the title and the adequately prepared reader will extract inspiration and education from this text. Kleinert's enthusiasm is evident throughout. The quotations at the beginnings of the chapters are very amusing. Here is one of them that catches some of the spirit of the book: "Do it big or stay in bed". The bid idea of Hagen Kleinert is "the world crystal". The only minus I can mention is that the book appears to be a bit hastily written.
