When the archaeology duo uncovers the Osiris Orb just outside of LUXOR, they learn that the mythical Stairway to Heaven is more real than they had first believed. Now, they find themselves tumbling through time and space in a race to keep the deceptive, power-hungry Seth Hisster from changing history forever.

Along the way, they’ll meet legends like Leonardo da Vinci, Amelia Earhart and Benjamin Franklin as they race against the clock to set things right. As they collect their finds, you’ll have to conquer classic LUXOR marble-shooter action and match three games to continue moving John and Jane’s search forward.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beat by marble-shooter June 14, 2010
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
I downloaded this game as a trial-with-ads from another site, and was considering buying it from Amazon (which has a much better price) until I got stuck on level 6.

First of all, this is really a very good HOG - it's a very long game with many locations to explore. The objects are (mostly) difficult but not impossible to find, and each room has a few items that have crossword-like clues (rather than names) that require a bit of thought. The game is timed, but there is no penalty if you run out of time. Moreover, as you collect ankhs along the way, you unlock additional games - Luxor Classic, Luxor Match-3 and Endless Search and Find, so you're really getting four games for the price of one.

A few objects are a bit *too* well-hidden (I couldn't see them even when I resorted to the hints), and some are hard to click - I'd resort to the hints, only to see that I'd found the object but hadn't clicked on the right part of it. It doesn't help that the cursor is a big, clunky bejewelled thing and you can't opt out of it. Most of the mid-level mini-puzzles are ridiculously easy, and I wasn't crazy about the storyline - it's a bit too mystic-weird for my tastes.

It's the marble-shooter that ruined the game for me. Every level ends with Luxor Classic, and you have to win before you can go to the next level - there is no way to skip past it. I have no hand-eye coordination and simply could not beat this thing. In the first levels, you can use the 'hint' to blast away the marbles and cheat your way out of it, but that no longer works at level six, and after a good hour trying to get past the shooter, I had to give up on the game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could have been one of the best!! December 29, 2010

Everything that Invisiblgirl wrote is true. This could have been a great hide and seek game. If it wasn't for the marble shooter rounds. I also am stuck on level six and there is no way to proceed through the rest of the game. So in reality I purchased a half a game. I played the 30 minute trail and liked it so I puchased it.
If a game is listed under "Hide and Seek" that is what I want to play, not all this other stuff they fill the games up with. At least give the skip option with no penilties.

I really enjoyed this game it's a nice mix between h/o, luxor, and puzzles,
so there's a variety of entertainment. It has good guys & girls and of
course an evil villian. Had fun playing and it wasn't over with in an
hour like some.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totaly Awsome February 13, 2011

My whole family loves this game, even my husband. You get trophies of all kinds, each level has at least 6 games in it and at the end of each level there is a mini Luxor game. It is not too easy or too hard.

this is a fun ho game and delightfully different, the graphics in each scene are great some ho items are easy to find some a little harder you might have to use hints now and then, the side games are fun such as marble shooting, solataire, match 3 you need to complete these to continue its an easy can do, you visit colonial boston, midevil england , an egpytian dig site , a movie set all have several scenes so your not going back and forth from the same places you can also play the side games by themselves this game has a high replay value

3.0 out of 5 stars Great graphics September 24, 2013

I would have rated this game higher, but it locks up when I go too fast, and I have to reboot my computer. Granted, my computer is about 5 years old, but I have plenty of room and this is the only game that does this. Otherwise, its great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not one of my favorites July 18, 2013

Graphics could have been much better. I didn't pay attention to the overall story...because I'm more interested in just working the hidden object part.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too easy June 27, 2013

Seek and find is way too easy. Completed whole game in 1 day. My antivirus (Panda) does not like it. Every time I run a scan it quarantines it for 24 hours then releases it again.

What a waste. Even though it was only $2.99, it is a waste of money - you can't play the entire game. I was stopped by the marble game - couldn't go any further. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Luxor Adventures
A rather boring game, but, it helps pass time. It is a compilation of bits and pieces several other Luxor games.
