Good Introduction to the Movie,
This review is from: The Mummy: Digest Novelization (Paperback)
This book is a novelization of the popular movie of the same name. If you've seen the movie, the novelization is a good companion to read. If not, the book is still a good introduction to the basic plot. There are some dialogue differences between the book and the movie, but this is very minor. However, the book does explain many items which, in the movie, were never explained, such as why there are five canopic jars instead of the traditional four. This book is a light, fun read. If you haven't seen The movie, then I recommend that you do. The book provides more of a background, but the movie provides all of the visual action.
