From School Library Journal
Grade 3 Up It is a pleasure to bite into Munching, Hopkins' latest anthology. The 23 poems, ranging from a Lear limerick to David McCord's "Bananas and Cream," reveal Hopkins' usual good taste, and each is cleverly illustrated by Davis' clean full-color graphics. The book may lack the sensual depth of Arnold Adoff's Eats (Lothrop, 1979), but it is still a thoughtfully designed and produced salute to eating, the kind of book that even non-poetry readers will devour.
