The lip extends so far over the opening that I cannot see the water poring out. It causes me to not be able to accurately pour the water and avoid getting it in my child's eyes, which is the whole point.

Cute but high maintenance,

I bought this because it's so much cuter than a rinse cup & my daughter seemed to like it...BUT...I had to spend too much time cleaning it weekly. Not sure if others have noticed but it does get moldy in the cracks & is extremely difficult to clean because of the shape. I threw it away & started using a plastic cup & guess what??? my daughter plays with that as well!!
Too expensive & difficult to clean so not worth the money.

Got this "special" cup for our son's baths to make it more fun. Its a cute cup, very sturdy, however scum builds up on the inside bottom. Its difficult to clean off the inside of the cup because of the "mouth" of the pelican. No directions came with it, so I wasn't sure if it was dishwasher safe. Soaking it didn't do anything to remove the scum. I'm a germ freak so I couldn't understand why something I rinsed with hot water after every bath could have so much scum. We had a soft water system too. Wound up throwing out the cup and just using a regular hard plastic cup.

Cute and practical,

So truthfully a large plastic cup is just fine for rinsing soap out of hair, but what are baby showers for if not to get ridiculously adorable items you wouldn't otherwise justify spending money on? We got this as a shower gift and I love it. Pros: Hole on top makes it easy to fill. Holds a decent enough amount of water to rinse baby's hair but not so much that it's heavy. Sturdy plastic means it doesn't bow with pressure (like a plastic drinking cup might). Cute, I could see this transitioning into a toy when my daughter is older. Cons: Not easy to clean out. Pelican's mouth isn't wide enough to get your hand in super easily and it's shape means there are some little cracks that you can't reach. I haven't had the build up others have mentioned, but I'd suggest maybe turning it upside down to drain after use and a bottle brush?

cute but not good for rinser,

I thought it was really cute so I put it on my baby registry. It's great for rinsing body but not hair. If you're child refuses to put there head back, like mine did. There is no way keeping the water out of the eyes without putting a towel there. It's also molds very quickly. I was bleaching it once a week. I don't recommend it for anything but decoration.

The kids love this rinser and so does mommy. It holds a good amount of water for rinsing a childs hair. To avoid mold problems others have talked about we turn the pelican upside down to drain and dry and have not had any problems with it.

What's not to like? Cute pelican, dump the water on your kid's head, rinse out the bubbles. My son likes to pour it, too, and he likes to try to "catch" the stream of water that comes out of the pelican's mouth. Have had no problems at all with mold, cleanliness, etc. We've used it for over a year.

We love this rinser! It holds a good amount of water and is lightweight. My 2 year old daughter likes to take it and dump the water over her head. A great buy!
