3.0 out of 5 stars They're Okay
There is nothing inherently wrong with these, my 8 month old enjoys playing with the larger cups while in the tub (maybe 3 cups out of the entire set), but to be honest I don't think it's $7 worth of entertainment.

This was a shower gift from my mom and I was thinking... cute, but how much fun will they be? She had seven kids, so I guess she knows what she is doing. My son loves them. We do all kinds of fun things in the bathtub with them including snapping them into a caterpillar, using them to rinse his hair, spinning the wheel in the smallest cup by using water from the biggest cup, exploring the concepts of in and out, smaller and bigger and practicing colors. It's like having an art class, a physics class, a spatial reasoning class and a manual dexterity class all while getting clean. Doesn't get much better than this.

I got these for my son as a bath toy when he was about 9mos old. 6mos later, they're still one of his favorite tub toys. They have a variety of slots/holes in them so the water runs out differently, great bright colours, stackable and a good sturdy plastic so they're going to keep his attention, and stand up to it, for quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Stackers / Nesting cups, August 15, 2009

My daughter has been playing with this from 7 months and STILL loves them at 11 months - in the bath or out she LOVES to stack them, chew on them, nest them. Most of all she LOVES to knock them over when mom stacks them high. They have been a lifesaver a few times when lunch hasn't been ready fast enough for her. The different holes in the bottom are interesting to her - the only complaint is most of the holes should be smaller so water actually trinkles out slower - it comes out so fast you lose the pattern and sprinkling effects. All in all we love them and I would definitely buy as a gift for a friend and will be keeping for our next little one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for baths!, September 15, 2011

Our 8-month old LOVES these. They have different designs on the bottom, so when you pour water through them, it acts as a strainer. She loves them at bath time. She also loves to bang them together. I was kind of skeptical, thinking to myself, "What is she going to do with a bunch of cups?" But I was so wrong! One of her favorite toys by FAR!

4.0 out of 5 stars Son loves them, but so-so in water, June 15, 2009

My son is always picking one of these up and gnawing on it (ahh, teething). Great concept, but I was disappointed in them as bath toys. The "head" is the only thing we use in the bathtub. For all of the other pieces, the water runs out so fast the different patterns on the bottom are irrelevant. I look forward to trying them in sand when he's older. This is still a great toy though and he plays with the cups often. They stack well and he loves to knock them down. The cups link together to form a caterpillar body, but he'd rather have them separate.

5.0 out of 5 stars so many ways to play with this toy, September 2, 2011
This review is from: Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers Stacking Cups (Baby Product)
i looked at a few different nesting cup toys and eventually purchased this one because it lends itself to so many different kinds of play. a few months ago, when my child first started playing with this, we would stack or nest the cups for her. she would knock the stack down and pull the cups out from one another when they were nested. in the bath, she would be fascinated by the water running through them. in the park, the same thing only with sand. just before she turned 1 yr old, she started sorting with them -- putting other small objects into each of the cups. this is one of the few toys that has held her interest for months. she's a bit young still, but i also talk about the color spectrum when she plays with it. it seems like every set is a different mix of colors, but the one we wound up with loosely follows the order of colors in the spectrum of light when it's organized by size. it's lovely that it is inexpensive and doesn't take up much space at all when nested. it's a great gift for infants and the perfect toy to bring along when you travel.

5.0 out of 5 stars GIft that keeps on giving!!, June 28, 2011
This review is from: Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers Stacking Cups (Baby Product)
I got these for my son's 1st birthday as a last minute "something else to unwrap", thinking it would likely soon be scattered, lost, and forgotten about. However, it turned out to be one of his most favorite things. He used it regularly both in and out of the bath. He loved stacking the nesting cups over and over again. This toy really helps with counting, color recognition, and spatial reasoning. Three years later, he still very much enjoys playing with them (abeit, usually to make a tower/castle he can crash his trains into). Even better, now my 8-month old daughter is very intrigued by these cups. I can set her down on the floor along with these cups, and she is thoroughly entertained--I'm actually able to make dinner with two hands :-) I adore these so much now, I often give them as gifts. Sometimes the simplest toys are the best ones!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bath Fun, May 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers Stacking Cups (Baby Product)
This was one of the best bath toys I've purchased. The spillers are brightly colored, with different designs cut into the bottoms of each cup so that water drains in a different way for each. My son enjoys stacking them, filling and emptying them, and watching me make the caterpillar (which he promptly destroys with vigorous splashing; it is not designed to lock together forever). I enjoy watching him play, he enjoys playing - not much more to add. The price is definitely right for a toy that my son finds so entertaining.

It's difficult to find bath toys that are bpa, pvc and phthalate free. I contacted the Munchkin Co. and they said they are! My 9 month old son loves them!
