Munchkin Fun Ice Chewy Teether, Colors and Design May Vary

I purchased several teethers on amazon, but avoided buying this one due to the negative reviews, & the lack of being able to choose which one you want. Lo & behold, today at my local Target store, I found these munchkin freezable teethers! I purchased a 2 pack (yellow hand & blue foot) for just $2.99! I know for sure that these were not at my store before, believe me, I'm very familiar with the baby section at my Target... so I can only assume they are new in stock. I found this 2 pack of teethers, as well as a couple of other new teether choices, on the aisle with all of the pacifiers.

As for the product itself, my son Jordan LOVES them. He carries one in each hand, and alternates chewing on the hand and foot. He likes them cold or room temp, and they are firm enough for resistance, but still soft enough to chomp into. He even chews on the back side of the hand and foot (not just fingers and toes), as shown in the customer photo I uploaded. He is 12 months old and FINALLY working on his first teeth, so he most likely has a bigger mouth than some teething babies do, but these teethers don't strike me as too large.

And for the customers with baby girls, Target did have a 2 pack for girls too. Pink and purple I believe.

I purchased the "hand" teether and my 6 month old really enjoys it because it is cold and STAYS cold. I like it because it can be frozen (other teethers can only be refrigerated), so it is more soothing on his sore teeth/gums.

I also like the hand shape as the fingers sticking out make it an interesting shape for my baby.

I would not order this again. I should not have done so to begin with, but I was hoping for a hand.. I know, big shock, I got the foot! It is too large for the bbay to hold much less get a bite on! I think it is ridiculous that we (THE CUSTOMERS) cannot choose which teether we want. The hand would have been perfect to reach the back teeth and it is a smaller size. The foot is huge and useless.

This is a great teether, my only compliant is that it's a little too big for our 4 month hold to grab a hold of... but a good buy just the same, he loves it!

My son just turned 1 year old and I babysit another little boy that is 9 months old. I purchsed three of the teethers, two for my home so my son and the little boy I watch would each have one and keep them from fighting over them. The third one I put in a goody bag for the 9 month old for my son's first birthday party. I made a special goody bag for the 9 month old because the other goody bags were for older children attending the party and those items weren't age appropriate for him. My son and the other infant really like these teethers and since they both seem to be getting new teeth in on a daily basis, I have tried many other teethers as well, which they didn't seem to use as often as the Munchkin Fun Ice Chewy Teether. The reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because when I received the teethers, all three of them were PINK! I did realize when I ordered them that the colors and designs would vary, but I didn't expect to get three pink feet, especially since pink wasn't even a color option displayed in the pictures. Oh well, my son and his friend aren't old enough to care, it's more me and the fact that I had to explain to the 9 month old's parents that I didn't intentionally buy a pink teether for their son.

I purchased three so i'll always have one frozen while he chews on another. He'll chew on these till there warm.

My son really enjoyed this teether (we received the blue hand). It can be frozen or refrigerated and stays cold for a long time. He enjoyed chewing on the fingers, which didn't surprise me since he's always gnawing on his own. It's easy for little hands to pick up and hold, which is hard to find with some teething rings and toys. Highly recommend for teething babies.

My baby is only 4 months old, we've been using the blue hand about a month now. A woman actually ran through the bushes in the back yard of my friends' house because she heard my baby screaming inconsolably. "I hope you don't think I'm weird, I'm a grandma, I live behind you and here's a teether, clean and fresh from the freezer." I thought my baby was having intestinal issues, well I held this in her mouth and it was a life saver that day.

That said, at 3 mos she couldn't really hold onto it herself and when frozen is too cold for her hands (but not her mouth) - she still doesn't like to hold onto it. That's why I think the Sophie is so popular, it's light and easy to hold and either end will fit in the mouth. Why 4 stars then? It's an important part of our teething line up. If other teethers are failing to satisfy and she's really melting down I will hold this for her in her mouth while walking her around and it's the only thing that works (besides a big stainless spoon that's been sitting in ice water). She doesn't like it unless she's really, really hurting.

I agree with other reviewers that it's really strange you can't pick which teether you will get. This would be fine if it were just a color option but the shapes make a huge difference. The hand has the best purchases for little mouths. I will be looking for this at other online retailers and in stores so I can be sure to get the hands.

My daughter started teething at 3 months so having a "finger" to chew on was much better than the larger rings. Check out prices at your local [...] because sometimes amazon has Munchkin products for cheaper!!

I like this teether because it is easy for my son to grasp and there are multiple different textures for him to experiment with. I took away a star because the fingers are so close together that my son sometimes has a hard time getting that part of it in his mouth to chew on it--it's a little awkward for him. Overall, though, I like it. Plus it's filled with gel, so you can freeze it!
