These are nice and thick, so little ones can't bite parts off. They are also patterned on one side, which helps my son recognize which way a letter is supposed to face. He has had these since he was less than a year old and still loves them at 2 1/2. He learned letter recognition with these by the time he was about 15 months. These are really a wonderful, fun way to teach!!!

This a fun way to reinforce letters. My 19 month old now knows all of his letters and enjoys dumping that in the tub and naming them as he pulls them out.

I bought these for my daughter when she was about 2 1/2. I just replaced them with a more "plain" set from Munchkin.Positives: * They are thicker than some and the Boots and Dora foam shapes have been an added bonus. * My daughter had a lot of fun, imaginative play with them. These shapes have been stacked into "birthday cakes" in addition to their obvious use - helping her to recognize letters and numbers. Negatives: * The reason that I had to replace them was because the printing peeled off of them leaving a really unattractive brown/tan color showing through that makes them look dirty. I will admit that my daughter probably helped the process along by picking at them once they started peeling. I eventually had to take them away because there were bits of peeled gunk left in the tub after she bathed. Overall, if they had been more durable, I would say this is one of the better letter sets I've had. But, because of the peeling I have to recommend that there are more simple, just as functional sets out there for less money.

This replaced a Sponge Bob foam alphabet letter set that we bought when my daughter was first born. Both were made from the same companies and the designs of the letters themselves were similar. I liked them compared to other foam letter sets I've seen b/c the letters were not as thick and they stuck to the wall of the bathtub better. They even stick to my daughter when I put it on her chest or back. It's really helped to reinforce learning the alphabet and early word learning when in the bathtub.Just a warning though, our Spongebob set lasted about 2.5 years without much maintenance (aside from storing in a nylon net in the bath) before it started showing obvious signs of molding. I could have given them a regular bleach bath, but it was easier to just buy a new set.

My son loves Dora and we are teaching him letters, so this seemed like a great product for him. But, when I opened the package the whole bathroom was filled with the smell of harsh chemicals and plastic. I was shocked by the strength of the smell and tried to wash the letters off in the sink. After a few minutes of washing the letters still smelled terrible, so I put them in an open bag in another room. The next day I expected the smell to have diminished, but the smell was just as strong so I decided to throw them out.I cannot express how strong and offensive the smell was. It really made me scared to have them near my child. Please save your money and do not purchase these letters.

This is lots of fun in the bath! The only problem is where to store all the pieces in between baths.

Absolutely Wonderful Toy!!,

I bought these for my 2 1/2 year old to both keep her in the tub while I'm washing her hair and to help her recognize her numbers and letters. These toys do both and she absolutely loves them! You get them just a little wet and they stick to the side of the tub...and don't fall down (like some do) until you take them down. I would highly recommend these to anyone and you can't beat the price!!
