5.0 out of 5 stars Gel teether for the freezer
Almost every teether says that you cannot put it in the freezer (although most just ignore this and do it anyway) This is because they have water inside and when the water freezes hard, it expands and can damage the teether and/or cause leaking. Good for the fridge, not the freezer. It gets way too hard. Maybe it's good for babies who want to suck. Mine wants to CHEW!

Almost every teether says that you cannot put it in the freezer (although most just ignore this and do it anyway) This is because they have water inside and when the water freezes hard, it expands and can damage the teether and/or cause leaking. I have just now found this teether and it has gel inside so it doesn't freeze hard. you can put it in the freezer and it gets super cold for your babies gums but not hard. And the box actually recommends use in the freezer. A "must have"---My little guy already has 6 teeth but he carries this thing around anyway.

We have the Munchkin Fun Ice hand shaped teether and my friend has this ring teether. It's a bit big yet for my 4 month old but I plan on getting one. Her one year old LOVES hers.

I have this fantasy though, that somewhere out there is a teether you can freeze but that has a detachable handle that's not frozen so they can hold it without getting too cold. Of course both parts would have to be safe (not choke hazards) on their own, thus clicking together in some clever way.

Our daughter is 4 months old and just started to grip things. This is a great teether because not only can she fit it in her mouth, but the shape makes it very easy for her to hold. Would definitely recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Teether, September 4, 2011

Our first teether developed a hole from which the water drained -- this didn't seem very safe; so we ordered this one based on the good reviews. It's colorful and it stays cold for a long time. (Also, there have been no holes thus far.)

My daughter prefers this teething ring out of all 10 I have. It is hard to find rings that can be frozen which is what she loves and the refrigerator ones warm up way to fast for her and she just gets upset, this one she can chew for a good while before she asks for another one. I ordered another one for my sister that is about to have a baby. A must have!

This teether is ok, but the shape make it difficult for a baby who is just begining to get teeth to get it in their mouth at most angles. I like the Avent seahorse teether better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Little guy likes it for a second but very cold to hang onto, January 3, 2012

I put this in the freezer and have been using it for a few weeks with my now 10 month old who just cut his first two teeth and it working on his second two. So far he likes it for a bit but then I think his hand gets too cold hanging onto the ring and he would rather chew on a stainless spoon or some other teether with a harder texture. I also noticed that the teether appears to bend more in between the two colors. I hope it doesn't come apart here. Also, it doesn't stay frozen for very long and if your infant likes these you'll likely need at least two or three to always have a cold one on hand.

My 4.5 month old sons loves to suck/gum this teether. I was afraid it would be too cold to hold after being in the freezer, but it isn't too bad. He'll gum it till his hands are cold then drop it and I'll wait a bit then give it back. I do recommend purchasing two so you can have one in the freezer at all times!

Soft gel. good teething relief. But I think it's too big for the little mouth to put into. My daugher was playing with it for little bit and she didn't like it.
