I love this shade, and it does the job that it is intended to do! But, I did have a problem installing this product until I came up with a simple and very easy solution! BLOW DRYER!! I just could not even get this shade to come close to sticking to my window, I even called customer service and tryed cleaning the window with rubbing alcohol as they told me to do. Nothing worked and I was becoming very fustrated, so I decided to heat it and stretch it out thinking that it might help. So I heated it in my bathroom and tryed it on the mirror with the hair dryer and it worked! Then I took it down to the car with a credit card and problem solved! Super easy with the hair dyer took less then 10 mins and no bubbles! Hope this helps out with installation!

Had the retractable suction cup shades and they were a pain in the rear--what toddler could resist? They were always either raised, pulled all the way out or on the floor. Waste of time and money. Got these cling ones, followed the directions, and have little problems. Occasionally, my daughter will pull it off, but since she can easily see through it, she usually leaves it alone. We have a Honda Civic, and they cover the entire back window (probably could be trimmed, but I've been lazy.) They aren't designed for the rear window as one reviewer suggested. I have one on each side for both daughters (#2 is 3 months old), and they've been up about 3 months with no problems. They do the job, are inexpensive and I can easily see through them to back up. The "hot" button is a bit superfluous--if it's lit up, you can feel that it's kind of hot so I don't really see the point.

Regardless, a good product, good price.

These clings sat in the box on the floorboard of my car for months. I couldn't get them to stick at first so I just gave up. I finally had the time to read these reviews and the recommendation to use a blow dryer was GENIUS! If you can't get them to stick, clean the window with alcohol, put the window cling under a blow dryer for 2-3 minutes and then stick to the window. If you manage to get the big bubbles out, they will stick for MONTHS!

These were much harder to install than I had anticipated, and the little white-hot thing at the bottom was pointless... my husband cut it off so the shade would fit our window properly.

They worked for me. I brought these last summer after I went to Wal-Mart and they were completely out of the girlie and cute shades I originally wanted. They were supposed to be up temporary until my ordered shades arrived.

I cleaned the entire back window(s) with alcohol and applied the shade. I will admit it was tricky applying the shade void of air bubbles. It wasn't impossible, got them up and the shades stayed up all summer long. After the time and energy I used to install them there was no way I was going to take them down.

Indeed there are better looking shades on the market. But you get what you pay for. They kept the sun away from my daughter (my daughter's car seat is station in the middle). This summer I finally installed the ordered shades. They were easier to install and look better but more expensive.

Would i recommend this product? it depends on your price point.

No matter what we do, these won't stick to our windows. They end up falling down before the car ride is over. They do not cling to anything.
The shape is nice and you can see through them nicely but the fact that they don't stick and the heat sensor is useless makes this a poor product design. The heat sensor will always show hot because the sun is baking it while you are driving. It more tells you the temperature of the glass on the outside of your car, not the temperature on the inside. I suppose if you are in the habit of having your child touch the outside of the glass on your car then that heat sensor may be useful but you'll have to find a way to get the darn thing to stick. Not a winner.

I'd gotten the retractable window shades, but regardless of how clean the window was when I put it up, the suction cups would fall off. Sometimes they would last a couple days, sometimes only a couple hours (or less). One fell right on my newborn baby! I saw these online then looked for them at a local store and finally located them packed up in a small box. No wonder I had missed them before. I wasn't able to apply them perfectly smoothly but pretty close. I haven't had to mess with them ever since, and it's been a good 6-7 months! If I had to remove these frequently for any reason they might not be ideal, but they are perfect for my needs.

It's very convenient, useful and handy..When I don't need it, I simply fold it and put it in the seat cover back pocket..Just have to press firmly with both palms of ur hand all across for it to cling firmly..Once clinged, it stays there no matter what..
