4.0 out of 5 stars Left handed scissors for young children.
These scissors are for beginner left-handeders. The scissors appear to be fairly well made, and they are sized for young hands. They would be suitable probably for first-use, preschoolers, etc. I state this because nowhere on the label is the appropriate age-use suggested, nor is it stated in the Amazon description. The actual length of just the blades is 2 1/4 inches...

1.0 out of 5 stars kids true left-hand school scissors way too small
Mundial 669-KM kids true left-hand school scissors are way too small even for a very skinny 4 1/2-year-old. Her slender fingers kept getting stuck in the thumb and finger-hold of scissor handle. A total waste of money and shipping. I highly recommend instead that you purchase the Fiskars kids 5-inch soft-grip left handed scissors. these worked great and my...

They would be suitable probably for first-use, preschoolers, etc. I state this because nowhere on the label is the appropriate age-use suggested, nor is it stated in the Amazon description. The actual length of just the blades is 2 1/4 inches. Please don't even try to get your left-hander to use right-handed scissors...why create frustration? Your left-hander will be much better off start fresh using proper implements for their left-handedness. PS Ignore the three colored dots in the Amazon illustration, there are no other items in the package besides the scissors..

A total waste of money and shipping. I highly recommend instead that you purchase the Fiskars kids 5-inch soft-grip left handed scissors. these worked great and my granddaughter was able to truly cut very well using her left hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter left-hand scissors, December 26, 2008

These scissors are great for kids in the preschool age to start learning how to cut. My son(a lefty) started using scissors in preschool and only got frustrated with the right-hand scissors. In addition I got the Kumon My First Book of Cutting. Both of these tools so far helped him to want to learn how to cut, and enjoy it. I plan on buying another pair of scissors that he can take to preschool with him, since they don't supply them. I would recommend this to anyone with a child who is a lefty, it makes their life a little less frustrating.

These scissors are advertised as being 'true left handed scissors' but the manufacturer's own packaging indicates they can be used with either hand. Before I made this purchase I did a bit of research on what would make a scissor different for a left handed user. That was the position of the top blade.
These scissors are exactly the same as any other pair and can be used in either hand. Not anything special.
I am really disappointed in this purchase, I feel that there was some false advertising done here and I have every intention of contacting the maker and letting them know how I feel.
This was a completely worthless experience and I would have returned the scissors if the packaging had not been destroyed.

I was having trouble finding left handed scissors for my 4 year old and this kit worked great!

It is important that lefties have their own kind of tools as it takes away frustrations in learning.

Glad I could find these as there are no places that carry left handed things. Works great.

HI -
These are a good fit for my little leftie. Happy to have them. and they are accurately described as blunt but they are definitely not dull.

I purchased 10 of these for our school for all of our "lefties." They are sharp enough to be useful, but not so sharp that a child can't use them. My left-handed preschool students love them. At such a great price, there is no reason that every school shouldn't have these available for their left-handed students.

I wasn't as pleased as I thought I would be. They are left handed, but very small. We need lots of practice.

Product was great but the shipping charges for a pair of scissors should have been under a $1 not OVER $5 . I will look closer to these charges next timebefore ordering
