I bought this board as a Christmas present for my son-in-law, and he loves it! His criteria for a new board included: reasonable size (so he could bring it to the table) and a trough and well to catch meat juices. This board has those attributes, plus it is well made with small rubber feet to hold it secure while carving and handles (carved into the underside of the board) so it can be carried easily to where ever you like. I looked at every carving board on Amazon and on many other websites; many were nice, but none had ALL of the features I've mentioned -- plus -- a very reasonable price! I would not hesitate to recommend this board. By the way, there is NO ONE on the web that has the selection of carving boards you find on Amazon -- thanks, Amazon!

I needed a cutting board that caught the juices. I had one for large turkey dinners, but needed a newer one for small roasts. This is perfect! Doesn't slide on the counter - always a plus.

very well made. wood is solid and sturdy. i like the recessed handles on each side. makes for easy lifting.

I thought I had read enough reviews before clicking the 'buy' button...maybe I missed the one that happened to mention that this very nice-sized cutting board is not a raw wood board, it has been dipped (or painted) with a varnish type of coating. This means that every time you chop/cut on this board, slivers of the coating will be coming off into your food--This 'coating' should be mentioned and defined in the description. I thought others would want to know.

Excellent quality, and extremely useful with the deep ridge along the perimeter to catch juices. It also has a cut that makes it very easy to pick the product up from the kitchen counter. Excellent utilitarian size.

I ordered this, AND had it replaced, and both boards wobbled ridiculously. The rubber feet are uneven, and this drives me nuts! I am going to buy a different cutting board.

It's a convenient size, big enough for most uses, but not so big as to make it difficult to store. A reservoir surrounds it at the edge to catch juices. The rubber feet prevent it from slipping. After about a month and a half of almost daily use it's holding up well, showing no scratches or cuts; it seems it will last a good while. I can't see how this product could be significantly improved.

Perfect size and very sturdy. I do not see any warping of cracking after two months of use now. It has a nice finish to the wood. It doesn't skid on the counter. A perfect cutting board. I would recommend it to anyone.

2011 Update: I thought I would update my review. After a couple years of cutting the board developed a slight warp. This was annoying since I use a Chinese cleaver and a slight warp interferes with the cutting. I think it warped due to some heavy cutting and infrequent chopping with the cleaver. I am still using it although I have turned in over, taken the feet off and am using the backside of cutting.

This board has a groove and a little "pond" for collecting juices, so you never end up with a messy countertop! It also has rubber feet that prevent it from sliding around on the countertop, plus recessed handles that make it a snap to lift and carry! It also stands up well to a regular assault from my husband armed with an electric carving knife! And the fine-grained wood makes it very easy to clean, although I personally wouldn't put this in the dishwasher. Wood + water + high temperatures tend to add up to warping and splitting, and this is such a nice board, I want it to last for decades!

I love this cutting board - I use it nearly every day. It is the perfect size - fits in the narrow cabinet beside my stove, yet doesn't take up a lot of counter space. And, it provides plenty of cutting space when slicing multiple veggies. The little rubber feet on the bottom keep the board in place on the counter when in use as well.

I purchased both this board and the large Mundial board (also a bargain at $29.99) and I use this one much more due to the smaller size. The large one is good for larger roasts & poultry, while I like this one for slicing vegetables - since we do not cook large cuts of meat often, this one gets much more use.
