Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Fabozzi, the author of numerous titles on fixed-income securities, offers a detailed explanation of the municipal bond market that is best suited for the serious or aspiring professional investor. His explanation of the various types of municipal bonds includes an excellent description of derivatives and of the market for these securities. A lengthy discussion of bond-price volatility includes an explanation of several theories that incorporate risk analysis to a greater or lesser degree. Most interesting is his explanation of the various elements that contribute to the credit-standing individual bonds. The discussion of portfolio management is intended for professional investors. A valuable addition to collections serving professional investors.

This review is from: Municipal Bond Portfolio Management (Hardcover)
The Fabozzis and Feldstein have, once again, produced a most helpful book which any municipal bond investor, portfolio manager, public official, or investment banker will want to own. From the mathematics to the markets to the mechanics, the authors open up the all too arcane world of public bond finance for both the professional and average investor. Detailed, thorough, accessible, comprehensive and logical.
