The book serves as the principal reference on my shelf. It is a great source for people who need straight forward hydrology, open channel hydraulics, and pipe systems design support in one text. It lacks a bit with respect to modern storm water management detension ponds but the new editions should solve that problem. I added tabs to each main section and use it frequently. A good book for the civil/site professional dealing with storm water managment.

Insightful and informative for municipalities! Helpful in many aspects of stormwater management. Also helpful with LID and other criteria related to stormwater design.

This book is a good resource for a storm water professional. The book seems to be more of a compilation of other peoples' work than new work itself. The benefit of the book is that it pulls a lot of information together and organizes it into a usable format. The book is a great resource for the non-engineer storm water professional, though the book itself will not make a non-engineer an engineer. Perhaps an improvement to the book would be to emphasize the need for the input of a qualified engineer for the analysis and design of most storm water treatment BMPs.
