This treasure of the history of the St. Louis Muny is a delight from cover to cover. An added bonus for me is finding photos of friends and family included like Margaret Bensick auditioning on the violin at a tender age; Mary Luebke and Dan Betzler sign language interpreting; and Cathy Rose and two of her children in costume as audience to watch Wizard of OZ. My copy came quickly and in "brand new" condidtion. Thank you.

The Muny is the largest outdoor legit theatre in America, celebrating the American musical theatre since 1919. This book is a real valentine both to the Muny and the thousands of artists who've worked there. The photos are wonderful, the text is wonderful, and it's a terrific portrait of the workings and magic of a uniquely American kind of theatre. Along the way, you'll also get an implicit history of American musicals.
