Not just for acne prone skin!,
By
This review is from: Murad Clarifying Cleanser (Misc.)
I'm 28 and have always had what I would call average skin, the kind that most women have. I have normal skin with a little more oiliness in the T-Zone and I get blackheads and the occasional breakout. I have tried all kinds of different product lines (Urban Defense, DDF, Dior, Philosphy, Bliss, etc.) and am the happiest with the results I get from Murad.
I have been using Murad for about 2 1/2 years now so I have tried a lot of the Murad products and found a routine that works great for me. In the morning I use the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (love it! the gritiness gives you very smooth surface for applying makeup) then the Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and the Skin Perfecting Lotion which I mix and apply together so that I don't use as much. Last I put on my Moisture Silk Eye Gel and I'm ready to go. At night I use the Clarifying Cleanser followed by the Clarifying Toner, the Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel, the Perfecting Lotion and the best product of all the Night Reform Treatment (see my review of that product for details, I love it!) and again I use the Moisture Silk Eye Gel. Once a week I throw in the Exfoliating Fruit Enzyme Mask and I have perfect skin if I stick to the program everyday. My skin looks and feels better than it ever has and people always guess my age to be around 23 so it must be doing something right! Top 5 Favorite Murad Products: 1. Soothing Lip Therapy 2. Night Reform Treatment 3. Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel 4. AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 5. Clarifying Cleanser Murad Products that I don't like: 1. Day Reform Treatment (too greasy and I hate the smell) 2. Purifying Face Scrub 3. The products for combination skin - they are ok but the acne line is so mild that people with combination skin will see better results using it. (I have used both product lines)

I know it sounds cliche, but I have literally tried every acne product both over the counter and prescription. Such products include (but are not limited to) Proactiv, Exposed Skin Care, Differin, Accutane, Neutrogena products, Clean and Clear, etc. I have never had results like this. I previously tried the Murad Acne Complex and found it to be a little too harsh for my red, irritated, sensitive skin. I currently switched to the sensitive line for the Murad Acne Complex which consists of this cleanser, Moisturizing Acne Treatment Gel and the Cellular Replenishing Serum. I have found that my cistic acne is gone, the blotchiness is reduced and the number of whiteheads has drastically reduced. My skin has never looked so smooth in all my pre-teen and young adult life and I have only been using this particular line for 4 days! In addition to the sensitive Acne complex, I would also recommend getting the Clarifying Toner. And remember, a little goes a long way with these products!!

Works like magic!,

I've been using it for 3 months and ALL my acne problems are solved. I've tried lots of other products and nothing works like this. It doesnt leave the skin dry or irritable (like other acne cleansers) and it is dual action: 1) prevents acne breakouts 2) stops any developing acne dead in its tracks.

made me worse,
This review is from: Murad Acne Clarifying Cleanser, Step 1 Cleanse/Tone, 6.75 fl oz (200 ml) (Health and Beauty)
i had slight acne before i started with murad. I had tried other products like proactive and skin ID but they never fully got rid of my pimples. So then I tried murad at first it seemed to clear everything up then after a month i started to get big red pimples on my face i had never had anything like that in my whole life. But instead of just going away it got worse and worse, I even started to notice that i had blackheads.I had not seen blackheads on my face since i was a teen. Even though i have stopped using murad for about two weeks it's damage is still being done. my face has those big red pimples all over it and some are still coming up because of the blackheads. The healing process is taking longer then i am use to seeing and as it heals it is itching like crazy. All i have to say is buyer beware.

I've tried a full range of acne products from Proactiv to almost all of the drugstore brands, all of which have been disappointing. Murad cleanser, however, is actually worth the money. The cleanser imparts a tingly cooling sensation when used, a little goes a long way (need less than a dime size per use) and I saw clearer skin in less than 2 weeks. I would recommend this product along with Murad skin perfecting moisturizer to anyone.

I've recently started using Murad's Clarifying Cleanser as part of my daily routine and I'm very impressed with the results. Not only does this cleanser smell fabulous, but it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft with no soapy residue left behind like some cleansers. And I know that it's working because even after just 3 weeks, my adult acne is almost completely gone!

I have tried everything under the sun to clean up my face. Been using Neutrogena's 3 step acne process sold in drugstores and has worked really well. But i wanted to see if i could find something that cleared up my skin 100%. I was getting some pimples here and there with Neutrogena's stuff and just wanted to see if i could find something a little better. Did research online to find a good product, felt hopeful with customer reviews of Murad on here. Spent way too much money on Murad products, bought the cleanser, the spot treatment and the moisturizer and after 2 weeks my skin exploded into a field of acne so bad that my face hurt just to touch it. I've never seen my skin so bad. Needless to say, i quickly returned back to Neutrogena and already my skin is getting back to normal after just a couple of days on Neutrogena. Very disappointed since i blew about $80 on all the Murad products. Neutrogena only costs about $36 in the drugstore for the 3 step system and lasts for a long time. Tossing my Murad products in the trash, unless someone wants to buy off me. =)

and I have tried everything,
This review is from: Murad Acne Clarifying Cleanser, Step 1 Cleanse/Tone, 6.75 fl oz (200 ml) (Health and Beauty)
I was using proactiv with ok, but not perfect, results. My friend recommended Murad, and since I respect her, I bought 2 kits (one for me and one for my sister) wasting about $200. It did not work for either of us, and made my acne much worse. My face was red and felt like it would explode. For some people it's better to use products with benzoyl peroxide (which is not in the Murad products, if I am not mistaken).

My acne is not naturally occurring, it is a side effect from medication I have been taking for more than 15 years and it is very difficult to find a product that works. I have found that this is the best product I have tried that actually does what it says it will do, which is clear up acne. While it does not entirely prevent all my acne, it is definitely the best out of all the products I have tried and... I have tried them all.

I used Proactiv and wasn't pleased; it is very drying. I have tried over the counter and they are harsh too. This is a great product. Can be pricey but it is so worth it. I am African-American and find it difficult to indentify products right for me. This is on the money!! I use the entire line.
