5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent shampoo for any hair., February 15, 2009

This review is from: Murad shampoo for Fine to Thinning Hair 11.9 oz. (Health and Beauty)
When I was 18 I noticed my hair thinning slightly. I went to down the chemical path with Mindoxidil, which helps at the terrible cost of a dry itchy scalp.

Fortunately, my hair loss has been very slow moving. I decided to try a more holistic and natural approach to stemming it though. By altering my diet to primarily natural and organic foods along exercise, I only needed this shampoo to really get my hair loss under control.

My sister got me a bottle of both the conditioner and shampoo once a s gift.On first use, I noticed the minty and tingling sensation from the tea tree oil. after using it for a week, I noticed my hair was fuller and looking and shinier.

I have used no ther shampoo for the past 4 years. Though I have tried others at times, I end up using this again. My hair comes out fuller and softer. I have let others use it and everyone always had agreat results even if they experience no hair loss.

This shampoo is reccomended especially for those with thinning hair, but it also works great for those with normal hair. I anticpate I will be continuing my use of this for years to come.

3.0 out of 5 stars my boyfriend thinks it works..., February 22, 2011

This review is from: Murad shampoo for Fine to Thinning Hair 11.9 oz. (Health and Beauty)
I have super thin/fine hair and my stylist recommended this shampoo, which she used when her (usually thick) hair was falling out due to stress (wedding planning). She said it had worked for her - her hair was thick again - but then her stressful situation had also passed.

I bought both the shampoo and conditioner and my boyfriend thinks my hair looks thicker. I got some for him, and I think his hair looks thicker too. Neither of us actually has thicker hair now (existing hair doesn't get thicker from a shampoo - ask your Dr. - new hair might grow in thicker, but that takes months to see), but we look better. And it seems to have cleared up my dandruff.

What my stylist thought and what seems to be the case, is that this shampoo/conditioner combo removes product buildup. And maybe that will help new hair growth, but after 3 months of use, I don't see any evidence of that.

It also makes my scalp burn. Or maybe that's the conditioner, or the combination of the shampoo and conditioner, but I have somewhat sensitive skin and it turns my scalp (and my neck/face if it touches them) red. The first time I used it, I was seriously worried I was going to LOSE my hair to a chemical burn. It doesn't hurt as much now, but it still burns - and I'm still using it. What can I say - it makes my hair look thicker. Oh vanity.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tingling Shampoo for Scalp and Hair Treatment, July 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My barber recommended this shampoo as I've had a problem with thinning hair for the past several years. If your like me and worried about hair loss or thinning hair and tried alternatives like Rogaine, etc., this is a good alternative.

I been using the shampoo for the past two weeks, almost daily, and my hair/scalp has been feeling re-energized! For some reason, I love the tingling minty sensation on my scalp when I apply this shampoo.

As far as results, I cannot say I am experiencing hair growth but it does feel more voluminous and much less work than Rogaine. I'll re-visit back to update after several months of use.

NOTE: For some reason, this shampoo either sells out quickly or the supplier cannot meet demands.
