This vase came packaged very nicely hence my phobia of it chipping during shipping was in vain. i am a picky buyer and hence i ve been looking at this vase not buying it for several days despite loving the shape and contours of it and needless to say "the color" too. So when the price dropped down to $9 plus shipping and handling (around $ 11) i jumped at the bargain and bought it that night. its a lovely work of craftsmanship and the color is pretty too though its a bit more darker in person (more like a dark dark blue than the purplish one seen in the picture) its tall and hefty and very good quality so if you get the same bargain and like the darker blue then go for it and don't think twice. You can easily put around 8 long stemmed roses in this and it holds them beautifully.
It looks great with a single bud too and sits pretty atop a dining table or a coffee table , even a dresser coz its so stylish. with a lot of lighting this almost looks like a darker blue vase sitting inside a clear vase .

This was a gift for my mom. She declared it "Magnificent!" and she is not one to give complements freely. She is also hard to buy things for. She especially loved the heft and the thickness of the glass. She thought I paid a fortune for it but I dare not tell her that I did not. <grin>

Vase is much heavier and taller than I thought. I was pleasently surprised by the exceptional craftmanship and beauty of the colors! This would make a great gift.......to bad I'm keeping it for myself!
