5.0 out of 5 stars Murder in the name of Allah
One great book which wipes off the elegation of terrorism from the face of Islam which is a religion of peace. Gives an insight to the true concept of Jihad. Unveils the crooked bloody buisiness going on in the name of religion. A must read for all Muslims and Non-Muslims. A real eye opener. I recommend the other books of the auther should also be examined esp. the book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep analysis of so-called RELIGIOUS TERRORISM, September 2, 2001

I'd like to say that this book is more than sufficient in itself, to not only remove the stain of Terrorism from the face of Islam and other Religions , but author has exposed the roots of REAL TERRORISM in the name of God, its Causes and elements responsible for it, in an extremely beautiful and logical way. After reading this book, no reasonable person can blame the innocent believers for any kind of bloodshed and terrorism. This book exposes the facts we use to overlook very often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Orthodoxy Is Not Islam, February 5, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Murder in the Name of Allah (Hardcover)
This book mainly focuses and successfully with cogent arguments disturbs the foundation of modern day Islamic thought. Maudoudi's philosophy was deeply flawed and this book is an excellent proclamation to true Islamic values. This book gives proof after proof from the Qu'ran, hadith and sunnah to establish Islam as a peace loving religion and not a graveyard for fanatics who ascribe the death penalty to apostasy. Indeed it was the work of medevil scholars which corrupted Islamic juresprudence and continually disfigure the name Islam.

This book is a must read for Western socialists and thinkers who fail to understand why terrorism is so closely linked to Islam.

5.0 out of 5 stars a simple yet great review of the concept of jihad in islaam, February 6, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Murder in the Name of Allah (Hardcover)
the best reading i have had in years. this book should clear islaam of all blame as to terrorism being rooted in with the religion of islaam. its a must read to clear misunderstanding of the people regarding islaam as a religion which propagates terrorism behind its excuse of jihad. all concepts of jihad are clearly and rationally reviewed. muslims and non muslims should both read to clear this misunderstanding that violence is taught by islaam. obviously the muslims who believe in violence or in jihad as an excuse for it would benefit greatly from this book which very rationally explains other concepts of islaam as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for Muslims and non-Muslims alike, October 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Murder in the Name of Allah (Hardcover)
This book removes much of the misunderstandings about Islam, both by Muslims and non-Muslims. It does a deep study into the history of Islam and its Holy founder and proves that Islam was never spread using sword. It is in fact a peaceful religion and is the only religion that declared freedom of thought in its Holy Scripture. Very good work.

4.0 out of 5 stars A true relality of life, November 16, 1998
By A Customer
What I am supposed to write? The book is a true version of how the murder is been committed in the name of Allah (God). One feel ashamed of him/herself that we do not open our eyes to this curcial matter. It is not only the matter of muslim world but an awakening call for the rest of the world. Ahmadi's gives a real logical knowledge about the death of Jesus.

He claims that the Quran (and thereby Islam) does not espouse any form of militant-jihad (except only in the "defense" of Islam). He condemns Islamic militant "terrorism." In reviewing Ayatollah Khomeini's ousting of the Shah of Iran (1980s CE), author Ahmad wrote: "But when all is said and done...it certainly was not Islam which guided and instructed the Iranian revolution." 1.0 out of 5 stars Is it a good work?, August 15, 2000
By
This review is from: Murder in the Name of Allah (Hardcover)
Well whatever this author has narrated is not his discovery. This has been propagated by a majority of Muslims scholars and saints.

But there is something important to see that we can't seperate sword from the character of a Muslim. The sword of the Muslim is dedicated for liberating oppressed people and nations. It is offensive to only offenders and it safeguards weak and oppressed people and nations. Thats why Jihad (waging a holy struggle against oppression and cruelity) is obligatory in Islam. This struggle could be in any form, but for sure it is a basic duty of all Muslims. Anybody who negates Jihad or tries to lessen its importance can never be a Muslim.
