Book Description

Fable Montgomery is the Muse of Story.

Fourteen years ago she gave up her home, her memories, and the man she loved, to prevent a new Dark Age. Yet when her beloved aunt is murdered, the fate of two worlds rests on Fable’s ability to recover the memories she worked so hard to destroy.

Fable returns to the land of myth and magic, a place called Aria. A world that has been waiting fourteen long years for her to fulfill the promises she’s forgotten she made.

In a surge of power she writes the Prophecy of Crows, a 240 page manuscript of the future arc. But before she can read it, all but thirteen of the pages are stolen by a murder of crows. With only thirteen pages to guide her through the story, Fable must rediscover her power of inspiration, because the last page of prophecy foretells her death.

And if the Muse of Story dies…all stories die with her.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT READ!!!!! May 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
LOVED this book!!! It's immediately engaging and I couldn't put it down. Am really looking forward to the next one(s)!!!! Needs a better editor for incorrect grammar, incorrect word usage ("arctic" - not "artic"), omitted words, etc. but overall I haven't read a book this good in a LONG time!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Authentic, Moving, Detailed April 13, 2012
By Pacal
Format:Kindle Edition
Athena builds mystery and an effortless connection to her protagonist.
I remember my childhood when reading Fable's back story, the joy of expanding one's world through imagination and play.
I thrilled at the suspense that Athena creates.
The author has a wonderful voice, more compelling than Stephanie Meyer.
Impatiently waiting for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a book for us! April 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Athena mixes all the favorite components of our children's books (old and new) and weaves them into a fantastic adventure for adults. It has all the qualities of the Twilight series and the Hunger Games that make them so amazing and bridges the gap from being a "young adults"/"tween" book to something truly for adults that is every bit as riveting and powerful. Her words paint beautiful pictures of lands I'd long forgotten since my childhood days of daydreaming. You will find yourself immediately drawn in by her characters and relating to them on personal levels. I could not put it down!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great adventure
Whatever I could write would be pale in comparison to a story so well told, I could not put it down until I had read every word.
I can't wait for part two, enough said!

The description sounded good, but OMG! i am so not a teenager! My mistake; I'm sure it appeals to the youth market. Try it, you might like it.

I loved this book. It was really not what I expected and REALLY not what I usually read. I lean towards the paranormal certainly not the fantasy genre. Read more
