Editorial Reviews

Was Mary Magdalene murdered? Did the Catholic Church conspire to eradicate the Holy Bloodline from existence?

To some Mary Magdalene was the wife or consort of Jesus Christ. The infamous Da Vinci Code has firmly placed this idea into the popular arena along with the idea of a Holy Bloodline descended from Jesus and Mary.

In this unique film we journey to places never before researched in connection with this story. We venture into the heart of ancient Lincoln, England, and uncover a tale so mysterious, so at odds with the accepted norm, that we are forced to question everything we previously held to be true. We track down unknown texts, journey on a treasure hunt across Lincoln county and discover the final resting place of Mary Magdalene herself.

* See the locations filmed for The Da Vinci Code movie and find an English Jerusalem.

* Come with us as we go beneath the streets into ancient tunnels to find the tomb.

* Explore little known Templar sites.

* Watch as Dan Green goes clue by clue to unravel a magnificent trail of codes and ciphers.

Join us on an amazing journey into a world full of synchronicity.

Special Features include a tour inside the infamous Templar Prison and the Lincoln Cathedral where the Da Vinci Code was filmed.

5.0 out of 5 stars heresy or hearsay March 3, 2012
Format:DVD
I often wonder when subject matter of this nature is routinely debunked that the debunking comes from some quango set up to maintain the status quo and to keep the masses in the dark. Well power to the people that unearth little snippets of possible truth and previously hidden historical facts. Work like this involves research that costs time and money and this one may be a "work in progress" but at least it gets people to think about possible collusion in high places that allows history to be written or rewritten so that it will fit into the church's grand scheme of things rather than what may have actually occurred.

3.0 out of 5 stars Plausible February 7, 2012
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
After watching several of these documentaries and reading several papers on Mary Magdalene, it opened my mind on the subject. I too am a cynic. I tried revisiting church and bible study as an adult and after 30 years living and studying in different countries and cultures. The Bible still didn't make sense and it had a large lack of women's stories and voices for me to relate to it as a book of faith. I've been researching the Mary Magdalene subject full time for some months, hundreds of non-bible historical records, family histories, folklore, traditional and non-traditional scholars and theorists, cultural practices, and political and religious histories in several different languages. When lined up with reputable histories and studies of the subject done by accredited and recognized experts, Philip Gardiner's discoveries seem plausible and intriguing. But it is just one tiny tip of a single tiny leaf of a big branch of huge tree of an immense forest on a mountain so be it can only be seen from a space satellite, that is the Biblical sized 2,000 long Grail epic. The true Grail tragedy is scattered through out history and so huge, most of us only see it in small glimpses here and there and out of context. It is such a scar ingrained into human consciousness that it affects how feel about ourselves and treat each other and our surroundings today, and it has affected the non-Christian world as well, in how they are destroying their communities and families. We don't know and cant' know what is real history or the real Bible, because we only know what has been taught in schools, politics, and religious institutions in the last 60 years . Every political and religious dogma teaches history and beliefs according to their own agendas, regardless of the truth, and it only takes a generation to forget. Read more ›

5.0 out of 5 stars Not to be missed! April 25, 2011
By Paul C
Format:DVD
This dvd really does open up the mysteries of Lincoln Cathedral. Being someone who visits the Cathedral often I was amazed by the so many connections associated to the Davinci story. The filming is beautifully done and it does give a great adventure feel. If you love the story behind the Davinci Code you will love this film. The clues within the walls of the Cathedral and the areas around Lincoln seem far from coincidence. An excellent documentary and well worth a watch!

5.0 out of 5 stars Indiana Jones meets the Da Vinci Code!! February 28, 2011
By paddyo
Format:DVD
This DVD is an incredible tale of murder and intrigue spanning the centuries and the world.

Dan Green has crafted an excellent film that explores theories surrounding the death of Mary Magdalene. Using various techniques from the study or architecture to the almost Indiana Jones like exploration of dusty, cobwebbed tunnels under the streets of Lincoln, the pieces of the puzzle start to fit together and then finally become clear and present a fascinating conclusion.

This DVD is not just one for the history buff, it is an exciting journey across England, specifically Lincoln, and other places on the planet in search of truth.

Highly recommended :)

5.0 out of 5 stars perplexing and criptic yet informative. March 12, 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I have watched this documentary time and again, the editing is complex, not very professional. The DVD has not close captions and there's no libretto or pamphlet on the data. The volume in the background music goes up as the narrator is talking, technically it should get 2 1/2 to 3 stars.

However the content is very reveling, I have delve in this area for decades and I was mesmerized of the information I was exposed to; a caveat, if the watcher is not too familiar with the Templar, logia and some of the books of the pseudepigrapha (Bible Apocrypha), the presentation won't be as fulfilling. One of the 14 books of the pseudepigrapha is the Gospel of Mary Magdalene which most people are unaware she ever wrote. The Bible mentions the 'apostle Jesus loved the most', no one knows who is it, yet many Sacred History investigators affirm it was Mary Magdalene, she spent more time with Jesus alone that any of the 12, when they encountered Jesus always kissed her, she was the only female who attended the Last Super and sat on the right of Jesus. On and on she received preferential treatment. So if Jesus had a girlfriend, it was her. After the Resurrection to whom did Jesus appear first to send instructions to the disciples: Mary Magdalene.

There was a Mary Magdalene of Gethsemanes in the area of Bethany where the Mount of Olives is, she was the daughter of a very wealthy family, so her sinning was not remunerated; historians say it was the same Mary thus she was able to support Jesus and the twelve. Most of Jesus financial support came from women.
