As indicated in my reply to the 1-star review, this book is for adult English Language Learners, NOT for children! The other reviewer has misunderstood the audience the book is aimed at. It is written at about a 4th-grade level but the story line will catch the interest of your adult students. This book is one of a series of 3 (the others are 'Make a Wish' & 'Missing!'), the "Michigan Reading Plus" Readers, and they are excellent for use in adult ESL classrooms. Students will find the material accessible and entertaining as they expand their vocabularies and reading skills. Also great for ESL learners who just want an enjoyable read!

I guess this was written for kids. It's certainly not for adults. Don't buy it--don't read it.
