This review is from: Murder in the Museum (Audio CD)
Simon Brett has been in the top tier of mystery series writers for many years now. In this entry in the series featuring two middle aged British women of most unlike personalities who make up one of the more interesting amateur sleuthing duos to be found in current media, he gives us an example of how an audio-book should be written and read so as to achieve maximum effect. The Amazon review adequately summarizes the action. I would only add that the characters are real, the portrayals mordant or affectionate in accord with the roles they play, the wit well displayed and the sentiment honest, not cloying. All in all, it is Brett in excellent form in a work I can commend to all.
