Book Description

July 2000
Murder in the Rose City is a taut, hard-boiled detective novel where nothing is what it seems. Eric Zachary Elias, nicknamed E.Z., is a half Jamaican/half Italian 41-year- old private investigator and ex-homicide detective for the Portland Police Bureau. He is six foot-five, hip, tough, armed with a .40 caliber Glock, and courts danger and romance with equal abandon. These qualities are put to the test when Elias takes on two seemingly unrelated cases. The more he investigates both cases, the more he realizes they are intricately connected. It literally becomes a life and death issue for Elias as he has to use all his detective skills and then some to fit all the pieces together in a deadly whodunit and why.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful P.I. Mystery and Excellent Read!!!, March 26, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Murder in the Rose City (Paperback)
I found Murder In The Rose City to be riveting from the very start and never lets up. The lead character is a Portland, Oregon private investigator named Eric "E.Z." Elias. He is half-black, cool, funny, sexy, and knows how to go after the bad guys. He gets his chance when hired by the Deputy D.A. to track down a drug dealer named "Worm." Along the way, E.Z. is seduced by a beautiful blonde, framed for her apparent murder, and falls head over heels for a Whitney Houston lookalike!

The action, fun, and romance of this hard-boiled urban detective novel makes it a winner big time! See for yourself!
