This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
The news that "Murder She Wrote" season seven is available for preorder has made this fan rejoice. Like season six, Jessica Fletcher narrates a few episodes here and there, but she appears in more adventures this time around than in the previous season. Get ready for more thrills in this DVD box set, a must-own for any "Murder She Wrote" watcher.

Episode 1: Trials and Tribulations --Jessica is accused of bribery and false testimony of a convicted murderer.

Episode 2: Deadly Misunderstanding --When Jessica suffers a broken arm, she hires a typist to meet her deadline.

Episode 3: See You in Court, Baby (Non-Jessica episode)--A contested divorce settlement involves insurance investigator Dennis Stanton.

Episode 4: Hannigan's Wake --Jessica searches for the truth surrounding a 16-year old murder case.

Episode 5: The Family Jewels --A murder during a political fundraiser for Jessica's old friend reveals a wealthy woman's colorful past.

Episode 6: A Body to Die For --A physical-fitness instructor who has captivated Cabot Cove's female population (and this viewer's eye) is linked to the murder of a con artist.

Episode 7: The Return of Preston Giles --Jessica's first publisher, imprisoned for murder, is paroled and requires her help when he is suspected of a similar crime.

Episode 8: The Great Twain Robbery (Non-Jessica episode) --Dennis Stanton becomes suspicious when a shady former associate produces a manuscript attributed to Mark Twain.

Episode 9: Ballad for a Blue Lady --While in Nashville, Jessica discovers a web of infidelity and greed.

Episode 10: Murder in F Sharp (Non-Jessica episode) --Dennis Stanton confronts murder and arson while on a case involving a famous pianist.

Episode 11: Family Doctor --Jessica investigates a mob hit when Seth is asked to help a crime boss shot at a Boston restaurant.

Episode 12: Suspicion of Murder (Non-Jessica episode)--Dennis Stanton becomes a murder suspect when the estranged husband of an old flame is found dead.

Episode 13: Moving Violations --Jessica attempts to clear Sheriff Metzger when he arrests the son of an ambassador and is later accused of his murder.

Episode 14: Who Killed J.B. Fletcher --A member of Jessica's fan club mysteriously dies while impersonating her to investigate cheating at a dog show.

Episode 15: The Taxman Cometh --Jessica visits old class mate, Edna, while in Missouri. Jessica must find the truth behind an elaborate scheme of murder, which points fingers at Edna.

Episode 16: From the Horses's Mouth --Jessica and Harry McGraw investigate the murder of a Thouroghbred whose prize horse has sired two unplanned foals.

Episode 17: The Prodigal Father --Jessica probes the murder of her neighbor's long-lost father.

Episode 18: Where Have You Gone, Billy Boy (Non-Jessica episode) --Dennis Stanton becomes involved in a murder case while delving into the disappearance of a shy ventriloquist's dummy.

Episode 19: Thursday's Child --A woman seeks Jessica's help in clearing her son, whom she claims was fathered by Jessica's late husband, Frank.

Episode 20: Murder, Plain and Simple --While traveling with her publisher's assistant in Amish country, Jessica's involvement in a traffic mishap leads her to murder.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was sooo impatient!, July 25, 2007

This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
I've already thought Season Seven will never be released. Now, having sent my pre-order, I'm relieved. This too is a great season, I like the improvement in the character of Sherif Metzger a lot. I also like the Dennis Stanton parts, there is a fine humor and a kind of elegance there, but to be honest, it could have been a different series. Because evry sequel without Jessica/dear Ms Lansbury is a waste, isn't it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Always love J.B.Fletcher, September 1, 2009
This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
There is actually little on TV these days that I consider worth spending time to watch; just too much gore per square inch. But I never get tired of watching the older mysteries-- Poirot, Perry Mason, and especially Murder, She Wrote. These mysteries have just the right amount of suspense, action, and even humor-- nice comic relief. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a good story without having nightmares!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another wonderful season of MSW!, March 15, 2008
This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
I have loved Murder She Wrote since watching the first season as a thirteen year-old back in 1984. I have faithfully followed all the seasons, and Season Seven [1990-1991] is as entertaining as ever.

As with Season Six, J.B. Fletcher does not appear as a central character in all of the episodes. In all, there are about 5 episodes without Ms Fletcher where Dennis Stanton [former jewel thief turned insurance investigator] solves the murder mystery.

Even without Angela Lansbury's Ms Fletcher solving the mysteries, the stories are so well-written and acted that it is still fun to watch them.

Of course, the regulars are a hoot to watch as usual! Angela Lansbury is flawless in her role as super sleuth J.B. Fletcher, and there are of course William Windom as Dr Seth Hazlitt, Richard Paul as mayor Sam Booth, Jerry Orbach as PI Harry McGraw, Ron Masak playing Sheriff Mort Metzger etc.

Some of my favorite episodes in this season are "The Family Jewels" [a murder during a political fundraiser for Jessica's old friend reveals a rich woman's past], "A Body to Die For" [a male fitness instructor who seems to have dazzled the females of Cabot Cove is accused of murder], "The Family Doctor" [Seth and Jessica get involved with a mob family]& "The Prodigal Father" [set in Cabot Cove, Jessica helps her neighbor solve the mystery of her long-lost father's return to Cabot Cove, and subsequent murder].

All in all, another entertaining season of MSW. I hope the later seasons [9-12] will be made available on DVD soon!

I absolutely can't wait for this season of Murder She Wrote to come out! This is a great season and Angela Lansbury is AMAZING as always. The few episodes without Angela still display the shows signature storytelling, even if they're missing her spark.
I was beginning to think they weren't going to release any more seasons. I hope there isn't a big pause between the release of this season and the release of season 8.

5.0 out of 5 stars Murder She Wrote 7 Season, another great one, July 2, 2011

This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
Season 7 another great season of Murder She Wrote. Sure there are non-Jessica episodes, but I like the ones with Dennis Stanton, and Harry McGraw too. This season contains one of my favorite episodes A Body to Die for, It's the one where Cabot Cove's new gym owner prompts women in town to take up physical fitness again, along with Where Have You Gone Billy Boy? the one with the creepy ventriloquist.

Great price, super-fast shipping. I actually received it 4 days earlier than expected. There was one problem. My box for Disc 5 was broken at the top where it closed,(broken all along the top) no damage to the cd though, plays just fine.(4 episodes on disc 5) But other than that very satisfied.

Would recommend for all those Jessica Fletcher fans

This review is from: Murder, She Wrote - The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
I am a very big Murder She Wrote fan and already had the first six seasons. I have been very pleased with this set. It is very nicely done in two seperate cases. Lots of info is included for this season. I have watched this complete season and was pleased with the quality of picture and sound. I do wish that the cost would come down and I would purchase additional seasons of this series.

Funny how the show doesn't wear out on you when you can watch it at your leisure. Jessica's better now than she was 20 years ago.
