Well, in this second book of the series, 'A Sullivan Investigations Mystery', murder did indeed take the cake and then some.

Private Investigator, Mackenzie Sullivan and his trust partner, Whiskey, the Irish Wolfhound are thrown into a personal case- someone is trying to kill his God-daughter, Bridget O'Herlihy. Added to the tense situation, Bridget is engaged to a rather, shall we say, pompass idiot, Lawyer, Joshua Lasky. Yes, those Laskys.

Soon, Rachel Brenner, who is trying to solve a mystery of her own, missing or stolen coffins, joins the trio of Bridget and Mac, and Whiskey as they try to keep Bridget safe and sane while the wedding plans spiral out of hand.

When multiple other murders occur...this case becomes dangerous for all. Bullets fly, tempers flare, laughter sounds and you feel the suspense around you as you storm through this page turner paragraph by paragraph.

This novel was a re-read for me as I am readying to read the newest released volume, "Murder doubles Back." I am so glad I did read it again, as it felt new and fresh to me and some of it I had forgotten. A valued remembrance to always check out the backlist of a great series.
