This is the second title in a series of eight featuring Charlotte Graham. She is an actress in her 70's who still performs and has the uncanny ability to ferret out clues where crime has been committed.
In this title, she is vacationing with friends who have a home on an elegant island off the Maine coast. We meet a fanatical book collector, a witch specializing in herbal remedies, and a crusty old lobster fisherman. All are at odds over land, love and money. Author Matteson keeps you guessing as clues are unraveled and suspicions raised. |
