It's about time,
By Tony (Delaware, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
After years of one-sided diatribes from Wesley Cook's apologists and the agenda-driven bias of the anti-death penalty left, it is good to finally see the victim's side of the story told.
"Murdered by Mumia" is a well-written recounting of the cold-blooded murder of Philadelphia police officer Danny Faulkner at the hands of social activist and self-styled journalist Wesley Cook, aka Mumia Abu-Jamal. It is also a very poignant look at the people Faulkner left behind, particularly his young wife, Maureen, and her struggle to see justice, so long delayed, finally done. It's odd how Wesley Cook, whose guilt is undeniable to anyone who has followed this case closely and actually read the various court transcripts, has somehow become the poster boy for the anti-death penalty crowd. One can only hope that this book will help to acquaint the objective reader with the actual victim in this case, Danny Faulkner.

Please Read This,
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
I suggest that anyone - especially reviewers and interviewers - actually read this book before writing about "not knowing what actually happened" on the night Officer Danny Faulkner was murdered. Also a must read for every one of the Hollywood supporters listed in the book. The facts are here. Please read this.

The Victim Speaks,
By Mike from N.H. "Mike" (Woodsville NH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
One of the critics of this book wrote that this was "almost as if the book was the closing statement of a trial." That's actually pretty true, and why not? Mumia had his day in court many times over, and he has repeatedly lost. He murdered Mr. Faulkner, that is already established fact. Why should the widow attempt to prove something that has already been proven? What a horrible thing Mrs. Faulkner has been forced to endure. What will these people (Mumia's supporters) do for an encore, help Sudanese clerics whip women? You would think they'd have better ways to spend their time.

A Second Crime,
By Chad Foster (San Diego) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
As the powerful book "Murdered by Mumia" clearly shows, there were two crimes that Mumia Abu Jamal committed. The first, and the most horrific, was the brutal murder of police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981.
The second crime, which is almost as outrageous, is the legal and political travesty that Jamal and his ignorant followers have waged over the past quarter of a century. This time, the killer is elevated to the status of celebrity while the real victim is conveniently forgotten. Do the mindless followers of killers like Mumia Abu Jamal really believe what they say? Of course not. Jamal's guilt is beyond dispute. No, what's really sick is that these people don't care, and their contempt for the truth, and for the victims of violent crime, is as shallow and dishonest as their false arguments.

A Tribute to Daniel Faulkner,
By TS "TS" (Nashville) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
Daniel Faulkner was a hard-working American police officer gunned down in cold blood by killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. For years we have been told by leftists that Mumia was innocent. Yet every piece of evidence in the case points to the fact that Mumia gunned down Daniel Faulkner. Leftists have done their best to lie and distort the facts and evidence, but this book clears up the truth once and for all.
Five stars for a great book exposing Mumia for what he is: A murderer. God bless Daniel Faulkner and his family.

Clearly Defining Reasonable,
By
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
This book, brilliantly written, tells of a true American tragedy. Maureen Faulkner is a heroine and has weathered the lunacy of those that support Danny Faulkner's killer with grace and dignity. Only in this great country of ours would a cold blooded killer be given all the opportunities he has to acquit himself, continue to fail miserably at it and become a celebrity in the process. The book clearly and concisely outlines how the supporters of a convicted killer of a peace officer in the line of duty can vehemently question the facts of the case and the sworn testimony supporting his obvious guilt. Yet, never turn that same energy and scrutiny on the unsubstantiated theories and constantly altering fabrications put forth by the defense lawyers. I read the book cover to cover and to anyone with a logical and open mind there is no doubt as to who murdered Danny Faulkner.
For those fellow travelers and useful idiots who believe that the killer is someone other than Jamal or that his trial was somehow biased there will be no changing their mind. "Murdered by Mumia" is written for the rest of us who understand what the word "reasonable" really means. The tragedy is the pain and loss of the survivors of Officer Faulkner and the travesty of what has been done to our faith in a legal system gone awry.

Another Liberal Icon smashed to pieces...Mumia is our generation's Alger Hiss.,
By Bachelier ""1004"" (Ile de France) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
Mumia (Wesley Cook) is a poltroon and a murderer and this great book says so.
My only regret that this book is published and sets the record straight is that Officer Daniel Faulkner's family will once again have to have this odious man's life defended by a bunch of fact-denying leftist fat-heads. Mercifully, the book does not begin with some inflated apologetics on the life of Mumia Abu-Jamal, but instead focuses on facts, dates, logic, testimony, and discovery. Smerconish does an excellent job of organizing all that Maureen Faulkner heroically has gathered, and documents carefully her suffering and the injustice of Officer Faulkner's memory by elevating this dastard. Far too much effort has gone to defending Mumia, and far too little effort has been made to punish him for the full justice he is due. This work will finally put the case to rest and like Hiss before him, another icon of the Communist-Anarchist leftists is revealed as a fraud. Truth is the daughter of time, and these authors deserve our thanks and we pray for the soul of Officer Daniel Faulkner.

TYPICAL,
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
This book was so well done and factually correct by every means. For those who claim racism and corruption in this case I truly feel sorry for you. This man has been convicted on the facts every which way possible
and yet the typical anti-american celebrities want to condone cold blooded murder. Good for you Ms. Faulkner. I truly hope you do finally get justice.

The truth comes out,

This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
Finally, the lies and propaganda behind the Mumia media machine have been exposed. This book is well written and takes apart all the lies and half truths that have been put out over the years by that animal and his fan club. Mrs. Faulkner is remarkable. She will not give up her fight to see justice done, no matter how many threats are throw her way by spineless leftist scumbags. She probably has more class and a higher IQ than all of Mumia's supporters combined. God bless her.

Murdered by Mumia,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice (Hardcover)
This book is a terrific read - get out the tissues!! I am a huge fan of Michael Smerconish so any book that has his name attached is one I will read. The story of Officer Faulkner's death is told with such compassion and Maureen's account of the events that followed are both poignant and distressing. Her fight for justice for her slain husband is so moving and she deserves much admiration. She has never wavered and has had to endure criticism and taunting from the defendant's supporters. I admire her strength and I wish her nothing but the best.
