4.0 out of 5 stars Great Underground Music
Project Pat is one of my favorite rappers. His music is great. This is album is a collection of his underground tape recordings done in the early 90's. Here's what I think of each track:
-North North (Great song-features Juicy J reppin' their hood of North Memphis)
-I Get Da Chewin'(Good track talkin' bout gettin' good head)
-Ridin' On Chrome (Features...

3.0 out of 5 stars Just a few songs from back in the days...
"Murderers and Robbers" is not a real album. It's just a few songs from the (very) early days, before Three 6 Mafia and their whole posse blew up. You can feel that most of the songs were recorded waaay back, most of them got an "old" and "out of date" feel to them. And some of them suffer from a low recording quality. It's also funny to hear...

i like this tape alot (or well the cd-version). i dont get how ppl can dig the new stuff from 3-6 at all, thats just lame club music. The old stuff has the good beats...but oh well its always the same story: at first they make real good songs just to get rid of anamosity, then comes the deals the money the industry and they start to produce crap for the mass.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best in hardcore, murderous rap, February 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Murderers & Robbers (Audio CD)
This is raw, angry, menacing rap at its finest - as all of Project Pat's albums are.

The theme and subject is pretty clear in the title and therin are tales of hood valor and depravity.

Listener beware.

You can feel that most of the songs were recorded waaay back, most of them got an "old" and "out of date" feel to them. And some of them suffer from a low recording quality. It's also funny to hear Project Pat (and the featured artists DJ Paul, Juicy J and Lord Infamous) sound so young, on some songs they sound like teenagers. I gave it 3 stars, because still, this short CD has got a few songs you can bang even these days - "North North", "Red Rum", the title track and a couple of others. If you're really into Three 6 Mafia you should get this to complete your collection and to hear how they sounded back in the days, before they ruled the Memphis rap scene.

3.0 out of 5 stars So-So Mixtape, September 27, 2005
This review is from: Murderers & Robbers (Audio CD)
There is only four songs on this 12 song album that I listen to, but the ones I listen to are classic. Some queer from Alaska wrote how people who like this album are suburb idiots, but he lives in Alaska, so screw him. Sure, this is not a H.C.P. classic, but it holds it own. Be sure that if you get this album you are bumpin': "Murderers & Robbers", "Red Rum", and "Easily Executed". For crusin' and chillin' "Ridin' on Chrome" takes it. If you have the other Project Pat albums and you need something new, then maybe you should just get a Three 6 mixtape. All in all, it's a alright album, but I wouldn't pay more than $8.00 for it. It's all good though, Pat makes up for it with albums like 'Mista Don't Play' and 'Layin' da Smack Down'. The good songs are all five stars, but the 8 filler tracks bring down the total quality.

THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A COLLECTION OF PROJECT PAT WORK BEFORE HE HIT THE SCENE WITH THE GHETTY GREEN CD. MAYBE EVEN EARLIER THAN THAT. SOME OF THE BEATS ARE RAW AND UNCUT WHEN SOME OTHERS DARE YOU NOT TO HIT THE SKIP BUTTON. BUT IF YOU ARE A "TRUE" TRIPLE SIX OR THREE SIX MAFIA FAN THIS IS A MUST HAVE. SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE RAW TRACKS ON HERE THAN WACK ONES. STAY TUNE FOR HIS UPCOMING ALBUM IN EARLY 2001. MR DONT PLAY!
