The review that Peter wrote does not correspond to the novel I wrote. It is not a journal, there is nothing in it that would be misleading, and there is no semblance to a log about it. It is a fictional detective story that contains a riveting genealogical search as part of the plot. And, by the way, I have a Masters Degree in English Literature from the University of Minnesota and more than thirty years of professional writing experience.

If you enjoy murder mysteries.. you will like this one. The setting is in the Rockford, MN area and combines genealogies and a fascinating family history into an intriguing and interesting account. I just met Marv this past week.

Good book that held my interest to the very end. Beyond just solving the murder, the twists and turns in the genealogy made the story especially interesting. Well done!

Not a real brain teaser. Enough suspense in the beginning, the middle is okay, the ending as expected. Easy to read.

The author tells of a murder with a seemingly easy solution as to who done it. But there are many turns and twists to the story that will keep you guessing until the last chapter.
When is there going to be a sequel?

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a genealogy geek. I loved combining genealogy and the mystery of the murder. Also alittle romance. I loved the hunt who is entitled to the civil war coins and who did the murders and why. Also a lesson in the story is your job more important than a life with the person that you love. I really loved the book

Mr. Day brings suspense and romance to a complicated genealogical mystery. Underlying the story is the poignant reminder that maintaining the appropriate balance between career and relationships is a key to happiness.

I look forward to Mr. Day's next book.
