5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS AND INTERESTING, July 10, 1998
By A Customer
I happen to found this book at our local library and check it out thinking that my 6 year old would enjoy it. Much to my surprise it was my 2 year old that was so engrossed by the baby in the hole and Robin desperately looking for her a home. The tone of voice that you can use to read this book will captivate your children too. ENJOY! WE DID.

4.0 out of 5 stars KIDS REVIEW, October 18, 2006

I liked this book. We got it from the library. It was pretty good because I like babies and I like to be kind to babies. I am five and almost three quarters and my sister is two. She liked it too. It is neat looking for someone to take care of the baby.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute and odd, November 1, 2008
Murmel, Murmel, Murmel is cute for the most part. A little 5 year old girl finds a baby in a hole in her sandbox, then looks for someone to take care of the baby. In the end, a truck driver takes the baby. The story is short, ends abruptly, and the media has plagued me with far too much of a fear of what random men do to children, so the ending feels uncomfortable. When I got the book, I pulled it out of the box and read it to my 2 year old with my friend and husband visiting/listening. The other adults with me were even more weirded out than I was. My daughter, unfazed, enjoyed it and has wanted to read it twice tonight.
Munsch writes off-beat books. I like his stuff. This isn't my favorite.
