Murphy the Rat was a scream! This is the kind of kid's book I love - gross, macabre - the kind of book that insures my little nieces and nephews won't come out boring adults. I haven't laughed this much since I read Gorey's alphabet of children's demises or his "The Dwindling Party" pop-up book.
