This review is from: Murphy's Law (Paperback)
This book is hard to find. It is very well done and an excellent resource for the many "Murphy's Laws" that apply to the real world. When I finally found this at Amazon, I bought several copies for gifts.
This book was not in print the last time I checked. It should always be in print as it is ever relevant.

This review is from: Murphy's Law: The 26th Anniversary Edition (Paperback)
I've been brought up on Murphy's Law. My father was a scientist and very safety conscious. Part of staying safe is the basics behind knowing Murphy's Law. And there are the times you can actually thwart Murphy's Law. It isn't easy, but gratifying when it happens.
This is a 25-no a 26 year anniversary compilation of the laws this hoarder of interesting words (see his Family Words) and sayings. Life has changed since the initial Murphy books came out, but many of the laws and corollaries still hold very true today. I have many favorites among the multitude, but any one will enjoy the wit and truth in each one. I'm proud to say my father does have an observation in the book along with Einstein and Arther C Clark. They all point to the contrast, the humor and the twists that is part and parcel of Murphy's Law. You can be an optimist pessimist or a pessimist optimist and still enjoy these. |
