We'll See You In Court..., November 15, 2003
A very enjoyable little Gem of a book. This little fellow is only 4 X 6 inches but it is packed with one-liners,wisdom and humora and it would be the perfect novelty gift for your lawyer friend. There are pleanty of Lawyer jokes that are pretty cruel;but this book is classier and would be enjoyed by most Lawyers. But it is not exclusively about law, and would be enjoyed by anyone with a sense of humor.
Now, everyone has heard about Murphy's and Parkinson's Laws;but this book has over 500 laws, rules, axioms, observations, tenets, comments, corollarys, principles, postulates, razors, dictums, etc.
Let me just wet your appetite:
The Office Maxim:The phone never rings when you have nothing to do.
Bloom,s Law: The Judge's jokes are always funny.
Jones' Law:The man who can smile when something goes
wrong has found someone to blame it on.
The Abilene Paradox: People in groups tend to agree
on courses of action which,as
individuals,they know are stupid.
Newman's Rule: Crime does not pay...as well as politics.
De Beaumarchais' Motto: It is not necessary to understand
things to argue about them.
Weber's Maxim:A single fact can spoil a good argument.
Rooney's Rule: Nothing in fine print is ever good news.
Mr.Mendelsom's Law: Ten percent of your clients give you
ninety percent of your grief.
And one last one:
Mae West's Observation: To err is human, but it feels divine.
