Murray Feiss Barrington Collection WB1341BS 1-Light Wall Sconce features clean lines and a fresh design making this transitional collection so appealing. The opal etched glass combines handsomely with the brushed steel finish. Notice the angular lines and arched designs that echo the framing in a home. These pieces are meant to complement, not distract. They add finishing touches and become part of the overall home decor. This would light your way down a dark hallway, or add elegance to a dining room or bedroom. The WB1341BS is 5.25-Inch wide x 15.25-Inch high and extends 4-Inch from the wall, making this ADA compliant. The back plate is 15.25-Inch high x 5.25-Inch wide. It comes one per package, one shade and 8-Inches of wire, and requires one 100-watt medium base incandescent bulb (not included). The WB1341BS can be dimmed using a standard incandescent dimmer. For a more energy efficient alternative, medium base CFL bulbs can be used, but cannot be dimmed. Usually I like to see everything first-hand, so it was a risk for me to order this wall sconce sight unseen. But I'm very happy with this choice, and it looks good on the wall. The two unexpected things (not really the fault of the product, in my opinion) are that (1) the protective coating on the brushed steel will pick up little scratches, so be a bit careful with the handling of the glass part and when cleaning the back plate, and (2) this type of up-shining wall sconce will pick up the imperfections on the surface of your wall! So we've smoothed the wall and now I'm really quite happy.
