Product Description

"a soundtrack to dreams of dark splendour" - Melody Bar

"Easily one of the most beautiful albums that I've heard this year, if not ever, Mus' self-titled CD, which culls tracks from their 1997 and 1998 EPs and adds a few new ones as well, has hardly left my CD player lately... It's different, powerful, and absolutely beautiful. Ah, how to describe Mus? Somewhere between electronic music, ambient quietness, the orchestrated wonders of Godspeed You Black Emperor, the loungy dub of Portishead, the playful electronic sounds of Bjork, the quirky spaceyness of Stereolab, and the score to a musical lies this music. The band uses both synthetic and organic instruments, combining beats with keyboards and samples to create lush and sometimes haunting soundscapes... I love this album. Whether the band is playing short and haunting melodic works or lengthy, swirling epics, each song is unique and beautiful in its own right. These songs blow me away with their depth and texture, their haunting melodies and imaginative experimentalism. Fans of! beautiful and powerful songs could do no better than to seek out Mus." -Adequacy.net

this ablum is made up their 2 EP and few rare tracks

the music is eletronic and dream-pop.

but they are nothing like Cocteau twins or DCD or Portishead or Stereolab or 4AD or projekt.

because this ablum is mixed with 2 individual EP so actually this is not an ablum~

the music is not so dreamy as I expected

the best song in this ablum is Duermete Nenu Deurme (track 9)which can be download free from amazon.

their 2001 album --El naval is pretty good, try this instead

spanish group mus simply captivates the soul. their pacific blend of trip hop, downtempo, ethereal, classical-tinged electronica and ambient mothers the mind and body. subtle elements of groups like seefeel, cocteau twins, ambient aphex twin, and voodoo child are sprinkled throughout selections such as "nautila," "tocade," and "duermete nenu duerme." minimal in approach, mus achieves maximum accolades with their brilliant effort.

Listen to this and you are in a calm world of clouds and scents mixed with mesmerizing views of color rain and whatever comes to your mind next...
If you're into Cocteu Twins, This mortal coil, Hugo Largo, Lush, Pale Saints and similar stuff you may love this group from northern spain.
Reccomended also, any of their other releases (some of them not available at amazon)
