1.0 out of 5 stars Ads, ads, more ads, and did I mention ads? December 19, 2011
By ian
I sat down to read this as I thought it would have some useful information and other articles, but it turns out that it was simply full of ads. Page after page were simply ads. It was difficult to determine whether I was looking at an ad or actual magazine content.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fallen from glory April 19, 2012
By N.Keg.
I have subscribed to Muscle and Fitness off and on for 10 years. I am sad to say that in its current form I will not be a subscriber to this publication. The magazine has become far too ad based. Every other page was an advertisement, and almost every article was hocking some supplement as well. This used to be a good magazine full of new exercises and workout routines. Now it's just one big commercial. Definitely not worth the $3.33 a month. I'll just re-read my old copies!

1.0 out of 5 stars AD VOMIT January 23, 2013
M&F is painfully thick for a guy mag. The Kindle version is no less smeared with page after page of ads. I once tore out the pages of the magazine to get a good look at the number of ads. I made three stacks. one was adds on both sides...second was ads on one side, and article on other side...third was article on both sides of the page. DUDE! There were like 6 pages of articles...about 10 for one sided...all the rest were ads, ads, ads.

Truly ad vomit all over the mag. even the website sucks.

I subscribed to Muscle & Fitness to have something to read. I then got my hands on same month issue, one published in the UK and one in Australia (I believe it was April but not really sure of the issue).

They had the same exact articles attributing them to different local people. Not only that, they had an article about a rock climber who climbs without rope and pictures of him on a ledge. The exact same article was in both publications with the person standing on the exact same ledge and spot was swapped and the names changed.

You always doubt what you read in magazines, but this is as pathetic as it gets. They cannot get original articles for the respective counties and those who they claim wrote them or written about are fake.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not readable on Mac, PC or standard Kindle October 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
This review is not for the magazine itself, but for its availability on Kindle devices and apps.

I bought one edition of the magazine and was very disappointed to find out that I can only read it on my tiny iPhone screen.
It won't deliver to my Kindle and not even to Kindle for PC, Kindle for Mac or Kindle Cloud Reader.
I understand that it may not be possible to show the magazine content in a standard Kindle, but surely that's not the case for Kindle apps that show the content on a computer screen.

1.0 out of 5 stars ads much? December 22, 2012
By A. Papa

I dont ever recall buying this mag and seeing so many ads before. But when u read it on a kindle you realize its 75% ads and 25% articles. Heck there was like really 2 articles in this last issue and was really disapointed 170 pages 125 of them ads. I know they get paid on ads but this is overkill. Never buying again

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what it use to be! March 4, 2014
I'm sure it is not a new review, but i will say it again. Too many advertisements, and not enough M & F advice.

5.0 out of 5 stars conventional wisdom April 30, 2015
By s3we
Just when you think you can't gain anymore muscle this magazine gives a great heads up on new products taken by winning professionals. From eating a good meal under $15 and feeling confident afterwards this magazine serves as more than reading success stories. The basic 4 workouts (chest, legs, back, and shoulders) could get gruesome without changing it up. There are plenty of workouts to chose from every month. Sweet sweat ten years from now, look at it this way, you haven't been consistently good for a while, and you look at this magazine and you could see the big prize in the near future. Don't get rid of your old dumbbells just figure out a way to navigate through this magazine and the bottom line you will be on top for years and years with the moment of truth this magazine offers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ad Heavy
Content is visually appealing and always a great read...once you get past the HUNDREDS of ads! Would've given it 5 stars if not for that, but hey, gotta pay the bills.

There are way too many ads and it is difficult to realize that you are actually reading an article instead of an advertisement. Read more
